Their love story is interesting because I sense more dislike stemming from Asad than from Zoya, and it traces all the way back to the time he first laid eyes on her. Remember that scene at the masjid? When he looked at this girl, all decked out in red bridal finery, and crying all alone. He looked and looked. And then he looked away. And then he looked back. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that he does find her beautiful. His look was very covetous. Or maybe that's KSG's personal touch??? lol
Asad was entranced at first, and then disappointed to find out she's a jeans-wearing "type". So now he continually finds reasons to dislike her. He doesn't want to like her, so he doesn't. Like Dilshaad said to him a couple episodes back "why do you dislike her so much?". He does protest a little too much. Don't yah think?
Like you, I'm almost convinced he's going to fall first. He won't know it. But he will. And then Zoya and Ayan will start happening, and Asad will say yes to some other girl (like it says on the zeetv website). I'm sure Zoya will be more in the dark about AsYa than he will. Maybe she'll feel a little something but suppress it because he expresses nothing but dislike for her.
I kind of like it that way too. Some of the best love stories are ones that acknowledge its possible for a guy to fall first. I hate it when the girl does nothing but pine for the first year.
