Floods in Mumbai

Yes Vidya and nikki, it is really sad with such natural disasters and I am really sorry for those 9 people (women and children) who lost their lives because of some rumour about Tsunami on the way and died because of panic situation. God bless their souls to rest in peace.

Its such a shame may god keep all of the people in trouple due to the flooding safe and make their homes be bak to normal!!!

Ya it was one of the worst flood situation Mumbai had witnessed in years. My sister who had left her office at 3 pm was stranded on the roads till 1.30 in the night with 2 friends and thank GOD for the helpful Mumbaikars that they were able to spend the night at a friends place. She reached home the next evening at 6.00. One of her friends was pregnant.We were unable to get the network and she could not inform my parents too who were really worried the whole night. Thank GOD her 1 yr old baby was with my parents. My Bro in law stayed back in office. Many school kids had to remain in school. Thank GOD are all fine, touch wood. Even now there are powers have to be disconnected and the water is also not available at many places. Lots of lives have been lost.

I can't imagine how could the weather forecast people not predict such a situation 😡. The heaviest rainfall in India is in Cherapunji which gets about 830 mm rainfall. But Mumbai witnessed rains on Tuesday which was around 950mm rainfall.
