At this rate, RK is going to make his wife go grey before her time (metaphorically speaking).😆
I'm *almost* sure that he's pretending the choking because he has figured out the argument that had Madhu ousted from preparing his food - that she'd poison his food.
A hue and cry being made about 'poison' will brings Dipali's variety of poison out into the open, and ease Madhu's difficulty on at least one front.😊
Plus, he's plainly standing for his wife😳, and has finally made it clear to the Bhatias that Radha won't be able to save them if he feels compelled - by their actions - to act against them.😃
I loved the way he talked about his mother fondly like she was dead - with her sitting right next to him.👏😆
The boy is going to be the husband his wife needs😳, and I hope to God that Madhu soon hardens up against the leech foursome🤢 and especially Radha🤢.
Start thinking of Radha's tears as a particularly deadly sort of venom😡, and the correct reaction will follow - caution and distaste, not worried compassion.
Re. Padmini storming out and the likelihood of her turning up at RK's home, I would prefer that first Padmini and then Shamsher as well move in permanently with RK.😊
RK needs people to protect him especially from his own 'family'🤢. Bittuji alone can't cut it, and Madhu is still naive in recognizing people.
But Shamsher and Padmini are extremely protective of Madhu, even as much so as she has become protective of RK.
Right now, their desire to keep RK from harm has to do with the fact that he is a good husband to their daughter and Madhu now cherishes her marriage.😊
But as they both gain RK's regard and develop a parent-child bond with him beyond the in-laws relationship, they are certain to establish the relationship with him even independently of Madhu, which is - ironically - sure to please her since RK and Madhu seem to now operate in reaction to what is expressed vis-a-vis each other rather than themselves.😳
RK has tolerated slights to himself in his home without especially retaliating, but he spoke out with courteous but deadly firmness to protect Madhu from the same.😃
And Madhu too has been holding the way RK is treated as the meter by which she maintains her own relations with the people in question.😳 She is still floundering in her desire not to truly understand the venality and putrid moral corruption of the four Bhatias. But it has become staggeringly clear that nothing she owes anyone - even her adored Maalik - weighs heavier with her than RK.😳 Her parents favouring RK as much as or more than her would almost assuredly please her immensely.😊
Padmini will, I think, have a harder time than Madhu in forgiving Mallick.😭 She is, first and foremost, a mother. Her gratitude to Mallick for all he has done for her and her daughters pales into insignificance at the thought that he intended to himself turn Madhu a widow within the first few months of marriage rather than be horrified even at the thought of it.
Padmini is - in ways both overt and subtle - extremely different from Radha.😛
Radha is supposedly the progressive woman who remarried, but with the excuse of needing a father-figure for her son rather than admitting that her need for a sweet-tongued support who would foster her every fond delusion far outweighed her son's needs.😡
Padmini, on the other hand, is ultra-conservative. And yet, the choice that Radha made of favouring her husband over her son is the sort of choice Padmini made in reverse.😊
When push came to shove, Padmini swiftly discarded every hope and delusion that would endanger her children, and abandoned her husband. It was a maternal protective decisiveness that Radha - though far more cosmopolitan on the surface - was incapable of.
