Rakshanda turns entrepreneur

Actress Rakshanda Khan likes to explore. After trying her hand at serials, dubbing and anchoring shows, she has now donned the role of an entrepreneur. The actress, who plays in Roshni in Kasamh Se and Tanya in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, has teamed up with her friends Hemant and Kedar to set up an event management company, Celebrity Lockers.

"Kedar is a fashion choreographer and Hemant takes care of the finance of our company. I've known both them for the past few years. In fact they're my rakhi brothers," informs Rakshanda.

Apparently it was Rakshanda's idea to launch the company. "I've been travelling abroad for shows and have seen how an event management company works. We want to work on the similar lines," says Rakshanda. "We conceptualise the shows and plan the entire event for our clients. Our company has a bank of ideas. Apart from doing shows abroad we'll also help companies launch their products."

So, does this mean that Rakshanda will bid good-bye to her acting career? "No way," she quips. "I owe my success and fame to television. It's my first love, and I want to continue acting in future as well." Rakshanda agrees that her acting assignments and her company will keep her busy round the clock. But that won't be a deterrent for her to pursue her passion. "I love watching films. My friends are as busy as I am, but I am sure I'll manage to take a few hours off to watch movies. The only difference is that earlier I'd meet them at 2 am, now I'll be meeting them at 3 am," she laughs.
