Jeevika's whole family was here from Hrishikesh to celebrate her birthday. The Choudary's and Vadhera's were waiting for the four of them to arrive. Jeevika was beyond shocked. Her family meant the world to her, and having them here together on her special occasions was priceless. Jeevika went and hugged her entire family and thanked everyone for the surprise. Viren told her it was entirely Virat's and Manvi's idea. They planned the whole thing and arranged for her family coming to Chandigardh. Everyone was enjoying each others company and were so sappy to see the big smile on Jeevika's face. Soon they all cut the birthday cake. Jeevika cut her cake and fed everyone. After sometime the entire family went home. The Choudary's were planning on staying in Chandigardh till tomorrow. Once they reached home everyone settled down in the main hall. Viren helped Jeevika to their bedroom as she was starting to get a little tired.
Jeevika put her hair in a bun and changed her clothes. She wanted to lie down, but also wanted to spend time with Viren. Viren sat on the bed and Jeevika came and lied down on his lap. She felt so secure with him near her. Soon enough Virat and Manvi entered to check on the love birds. They came and sat on the bed too as Jeevika still laid down in Viren's lap. They all just laughed and joked talking about how much they're life would change soon. With Virat's new album and tour and Jeevika Viren's baby, they wouldn't get to spend much time together.
After a while, Jeevika sat up with her hand on her belly.
viren - "You okay, Jeevs"
jeevika - "Yeah, i think i just ate too much today"
manvi - "Di do you have pain"
Jeevika didn't want to tell them the intense pain that started in her stomach. She tried controlling it so it wouldn't be too obvious. Viren told her it would be better if she napped a little. Jeevika lay on her side of the bed and tried sleeping. Manvi and Virat left the room and Viren went outside for a phone call. The pain was getting worst. She then tried getting up and walking to see if that would help. She was confused as if it maybe labor pains but she still was in her 35th week. The pain wasn't stopping and Jeevika was feeling so helpless that she yelled Viren's name out. Viren and the rest of the family quickly entered. Jeevika lost balance and was now sitting down besides her bed.
viren - "Jeevika, lets go to the hospital right away"
manvi - "Ma, is di having labor pains"
vanshika - "Beta, it could be. It might be a premature. Let's just take her on the safe side"
They soon all left for the hospital. Manvi had called Jeevika's doctor in the car. Jeevika started feeling better, But Viren wasn't satisfied. He wanted to still go and get her checked up to confirm everything was alright. Right before entering the hospital, Jeeika's pain started again. They all quickly rushed her inside the doctors cabin. The doctor only allowed Viren and Manvi with Jeevika.
Jeevika was lying down on the bed, screaming as the pain wasn't getting any better.
manvi - "Doctor, is di having labor pains? Will the baby be here soon even though there are still 5 weeks till the delivery?"
doctor - "Jeevika is having braxton hicks contractions. This is basically false labor and the bodies way to get the mother prepared for her birth soon."
viren - "How can we help with Jeevika's pain"
doctor - "It will go with time. Once you get home keep giving her hot herbal teas. Taking a shower or going out for a walk might help too. You just got to try small things like this. However if she feels this pain again, and it continues for over three hours she maybe in labor so bring her back here"
viren - "Okay, thank you doctor"
Viren and Manvi both helped Jeevika get up. They noticed how she had started sweating now. She was feeling a little better than before, but had a bad body ache. They helped Jeevika get up and out the cabin where everyone was waiting. Viren told them it was just false labor pains and that she would be alright. They took Jeevika straight home and to the bedroom. She decided to take the doctor's advice and take a long bath. She started feeling more relaxed and comfortable. She changed into her pajamas and Viren's loose tshirt. She felt much more comfortable in this than her nighty because of her big belly and Viren always thought she looked cuter too. As she came out of the bathroom Viren entered the room with some hot jasmine tea. She sat down on the sofa drinking her tea.
jeevika - "Virenji, can you get me some cheesecake"
viren - "Jeevika i don't think you should eat that now. Ma and Beeji are making dinner for you, you eat that and go to bed. I'll get you cheesecake tomorrow. And anyways you ate a lot of cake today, you need something healthy also"
jeevika - "But virenji how can you say no to me on my birthday? That's not fair"
viren - "Jeevika try and understand. I told you I'll get it for you tomorrow right?"
Jeevika knew Viren wouldn't get it for her. Soon beeji came in and brought her food. She fed Jeevika like she used to when she was a little girl. Viren and everyone else where eating dinner outside with the rest of the family. Jeevika lay in her beeji's lap and drifted off to sleep. Viren entered to see Beeji smiling at her cute granddaughter, to be mommy sleeping. He turned off the rooms light and turned on his lamp. Beeji put Jeevika's head down and left the room. Viren covered Jeevika up with a blanket and went to change.
