A episode worth watching: a and P fans alike. It is a treat for every J lover!
They replay last epi's last 15 minutes as if preparing us for DEATH!
AJ are having a gala time and so is everybody including Ila when the fateful call summons J from the celebrations.
WATCH THIS FOR JASSI:
As soon as J hears about P's condition, she becomes a living corpse. The colour flies from her face, the muscles on her neck become rigid, tears glisten in her eyes and she doesn't know where she is.
It is now the bride's turn to dance and they drag her away to the centre and gyrate around her.
J's limbs automatically do some dead beat movements, as she looks around bewildered, as the the truth sinks in to her, deeper and deeper and she recollects the various moments she spent with P:
Her first meeting with him at Alibagh, Mauritius and finally back to the present as father's ominous words pierce in to her.
(P fans, I don't know if P's journey will act as your blessing or will be more like adding insult to injury. But you might want to go all nostalgic and cherish the best days of your hero.)
(Mona was brilliant! Can never praise her enough. And all those who said that J is insensitive, has no compassion much less care fro P, she is selfish etc must see this scene and I'd like to know if they still feel the same. I am sure J's state of devastation was even more so than when she stumbled on A's sinister plan. Brilliant Mona! Absolutely Brilliant! You have a great future!)
A very touching scene, a scene that nearly destroyed me, brought back bitter memories…
A soulful bg music plays as Creepy gets up to receive Rohan.
Rohan, tears in his eyes stares at his Bhaiyya, his breathing labored…
Creepy tells the kid his bro will be fine.
(The kid is awesome. No melodrama. Just tears and a look of disbelief. And the expression he had on his face was too good.)
A and R meet at a restaurant and R decides to hold a bachelor party. And the talk comes to Creepy Joe. A wonders where he could have gone.
R looks guilty(?) and looks stupid for a minute and then says he will take care of the party and A must take care of GM.
(R wore a violet shirt and Brown suit. Awful combo, I think. And he looks very old and tired. A wore a seaweed green shirt and Black suit. He is getting boyish by the day.)
DON'T MISS THIS SCENE. IT WILL SHOW YOU WHY JASSI JAISSI KOI NAHIN AND you will fall in love with J all over again:
The Walia household is relaxed and happy when a white J asks to speak alone to Papaji, Bebe and Amrit.
She tells them everything and Billu thunders that has she gone nuts? That man who dumped her cannot be entertained.
J tries to explain that he had his majboories (What were they, I would like to know?)
Billu tries to reason out and Buaji steps in and does the same.
J tells them that the wedding date can be re-scheduled but sb's life cannot come back.
The others are all listening to her through the window and Mamaji tells her unasked, she shouldn't go because her life is at stake. Billu intervenes and tells J that the decision will be hers and they will support her.
J now has a look of determination and she says that there is one more person who she needs to consult and that is A!
(Thousand kisses to J for this wiset decision ever!)
Buaji tries to stop her and tells her that it is abshagun to go to Hubby's house before marriage and what answer can she expect him to give.
J tells her firmly that he will understand her coz he is going to be her husband and as a last parting shot: He must!
The children from the anathalay come to meet P and again the kid Rohan impressed me with his classic display of grief. He didn't utter one single word. Just kept staring at P, hoping probably against hope that all this is a nightmare.
You feel sorry for Creepy as well. Poor chap. He has idolised the saint.
SUPER SCENE OF THE WEEK:
J rushes in to A's house shouting his name like a madwoman.
A comes in answer to her cal, ina Blue sweat shirt, (Looked very hot, ironically) and asks her what the matter is.
J hugs him tightly and is all upset and cannot utter a single word.
(Brilliant performance by Mona.)
A pacifies her asks her to get a hold and asks her what the matter is.
She says incoherently. Amidst her sobs and shivering that he is dying and wants to meet her.
A asks her who.
She replies at last 'Purab'.
A is shocked.
J says frantically that he has not much time and he just wants to meet her once. Her family doesn't want her to go and she doesn't know what to do.
A tells her, holding her face that sometimes one has to take decisions alone. What does she want?
J tells him that if she knew that's he wouldn't have come here. He is her husband and his decision too. Will they be able to bear the abshagun of starting their new life without honoring a last wish? She is stuck on side is their life: a new beginning and on the other the friend who always stood by her: his life is ending… She begs him to tell her what to do. The ball is in his court now.
Now, it A's turn to get devastated and stares ahead in complete shock.
(This scene had me on the edge of my sofa)

J goes to Nainitaal after all alone(?). She is in Yellow and White and in tears as she sees the docs working frantically on P.
(I don't know how they are going to convert this atmosphere of gloom to that of festivity and happiness. Will a week be enough to do this? I hope. But, I loved today's epi. It was sad and heart wrenching but I was astonished, elated, amazed by how strong and sensible J can be, if she chooses to. T n D n G, hats off. It is a relief that J consulted A and very cleverly transferred the responsibility of taking a very TOUGH decision to him!)
