hey guys................. at last I reached home... I reached home this morning and can say for sure that mostly everywhere the water has started receding and things are getting back to nromall...

Mostly the areas affected are the low lying areas of Kurla, Bandra, Santacruz, some parts of Andheri and distant Kalyan, Bhayandar, Panvel etc. There, due to overflowing of the local dams, the areas have got flooded and water levels at nearing first floor heights. the ground floors of these buildings have been evacuated and mostly people are safe. There is some loss of life, which is unfortunate, but those of u who cant gget thru to their relatives, do not panic... as the phone lines, mobile and land line are just about getting to normacly. Most places do nto have electricity, so thats another problem.

Anisha... thanks a million dear... i could watch only poritons, as there were so many of us stranded and since we were safe in a house, we went out to do some help to those stranded and was out in the night. I should be able to see it tonight, so should be able to update tonight.

priya! good to hear that you reached home safely and everything is getting back to normal in mumbai. the pics of flood look scary.

good to know that you are safe greatmaratha. Eventually i got to talk to my parents yesterday. But cheers to my Mumbai!! It will be back on it's feet within no time; i know that for sure.
