Uttaran is a soap that sirs on colors tv. It replaced big boss (season 2) and went on air on 1st December 2008,within a month it was able to retain a position among top 20 TV programmes in India. On 22nd June 2009 the story line of the show took a 10 year leap forward and on 26th march 2012 it took an 18 year leap forward.It is dubbed in Tamil as sindhu bhaveri and airs on Raj TV on 7:00pm. uttaran completed 1000 episodes on 7th November 2012 and Rashmi Desai Sandhu returned to the show on the episode.
