Zinta on Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Jaaneman & KANK KANK has won you rave reviews. It was wonderful working with Karan Johar. He wanted a different side of Preity Zinta. He wanted the character to be proper, dressed up, groomed, not too expressive. I would like to attribute the credit I am getting to Karan. Did you grow as an actor with the film? Oh! Definitely. It's another side of my personality. I have experienced so much more with this film, questioned so much more. Mostly, in Hindi movies we make films about characters that are white. This film has grey characters and in life humans are generally grey. The job of cinema is to stimulate people. You can't always keep making the same film from the same subject. We have to progress in terms of subject.

Let's talk about Jaan-e-Mann It is a romantic comedy. It has a beautiful love story, beautiful emotions, it's very, very funny. It is a film that a four-year-old and a 104-year-old can watch. I have seen it in different pieces and I am very proud of it. It's a completely entertaining film but you have to watch without leaving your brains behind. Does it take you back to your bubbly image? My bad luck is that I have got stuck with that image. There is a lot more to me, in my performances and personality on celluloid than that bubbly thing. Bubbly is just part of it. No, in Jaan-e-Mann, it' isn't the bubbly Preity. If you look at Veer-Zaara, Salaam Namaste, KANK, none of them are really bubbly roles. I had officially given the bubbly tag to Rani after Bunty Aur Babli. You share screen space with Salman after quite some time in this film It was great working with him after quite some time. Akshay and I worked together after a very long time too. We worked together in Sangharsh. They both are very, very nice guys, very professional and I have a very good relationship with them. Shirish Kunder is an editor. How far is his technical skill reflected in his film? He is a very talented filmmaker. Technically he is very, very sound. He will surprise a lot of people with Jaan-e-Mann. He is a man of few words. He is going to make a lot of memorable films. I am happy to be part of his first film. He will always remember me. How has London been so far? Are you getting time to chill out? I will be here till the end of September. I am not really getting time but not complaining because it's a fantastic film we are shooting. I am sure when it comes out you are going to love it. The film has Abhishek (Bachchan) and me, finally paired together. So, Preity is happy it seems
