Moms help kids win on new television show

Rin Mera Star Superstars is the new show to hit the television screens. Talented children in the age group of 5-14 will be encouraged and their efforts applauded. The host will be the endearing and vivacious Farida Jalal who will team up with the playful Sachin Pilgaonkar who is still a child at heart.

Farida Jalal says, "The programme promises to offer a national platform for talented children to showcase their potential and win a scholarship of Rs 5,00,000 to pursue their dream of becoming an artist. What sets this show apart is that the mothers of the kids have an active role to play in defining the kid's victory or loss in the Maa Sangram Round in which each mother pleads to the judges and audience requesting for votes for her talented child. Her appeal will then be judged by the audience and can affect the final scores of her child. The mother-child duo with the highest score will move on to the semi-finals," reveals Farida.

When asked if the actress had participated in any show during her childhood, Farida tells us that she entered Bollywood because of a contest. "When I was in school I filled in a form and was selected by Tarachand Barjaytya of Rajshri Productions for his film Taqdeer as a child artiste." She adds, "I feel very sad when they lose. But I always tell them participation is more important than winning."
