So..when the first trailer of SOTY came out everyone bashed KARAN as well as ALIA...even i thought she was given a chance in kjo because of her family connection...i still haven't watched the movie but saw her in couple of interviews and she came across really sweet and down to earth...plus i do think she has a very strong screen presence...she reminds me of young kareena but very soft and feminine...what do you guys think??? will she reach the top or go sonam way???

Well, I feel she is quite overconfident. In an interview she stipulated how matching up and actually overtaking actresses such as Rani , Preity etc. is no problem for her.

i do not about her acting because I do not watch immoral movies such as SOTY

i haven't seen that interview but i guess that is the one quality you have to have when you want to be an actress..

I like her.. as an actress too soon to tell if she's good or not. The boys stole the show in the film.

Student Of the Year dropped in week two with collections around 13 crore nett. The film got advantage of Dussehra holidays in week one and week two which has enabled to the film to get a reasonable total but good business has only come in the Delhi area and West Bengal has also done well due to a good first week. The two week total is around 56 crore nett. SEMI HIT

so the so called high school drama ended up being a semi - hit only...that's pretty sad for an out and out Kjo production. *sarcasm* good actually it deserved it. pathetically boring film. those abs and chicky attitude seems pretty stale. on the bottomline, the three debutants seems to looking themselves into the mirror all the time. there was basically no histrionics but atleast a re-admission in acting school would be better.

I would actually love to see what exactly happens in high school life from we all go through...the dark side as well. which is brilliantly portrayed by Gumraah soap these days. Anyways KjO should come out of his fantasies and make a solid family entertainer. lately all movies have been unimpressive KANK (interesting premise, poor climax) MNIK (great story, poor execution) and of course dizzy SOTY
