Hi everyone! This is my FIRST ever OS!! I have so many ideas in my head, but I'm not brave enough to put them into words. I've been inspired by all of the great writers on this forum, and now I've finally written my first one!
I learned my Hindi the "old" fashioned way - by watching Bollywood movies - so please don't hate me if my grammar/spelling is wrong.
In this universe, no DNA reports have been discussed, so Arnav doesn't know about Khushi's suspicions. Oh, and it may help to re-watch the last part of Wednesday's episode before reading! This story is a little tongue-in-cheek, and my Arnav is a little more badmaash than the serial Arnav. His thoughts are in italics.

Everyone was gathered in the living room after the basketball match, raving about Sheetal's basketball playing skills. NK says, "Wow, Sheetalji, aap kitni acchi basketball player hain! Aapko to professional team mein khelna chaiye!" But Nani wonders who will take care of Aarav if Sheetal plays professional basketball.
In his head Arnav is thinking, how do I live with these characters every day? Professional team? First, Sheetal lost, and second, we were playing with a kid, Mami, and Khushi! Pagal, all of them!
While Arnav was zoned out, Nani and Di have been discussing who will take care of Aarav while Sheetal plays on the professional team. Arnav snaps back to attention when Aakash says, "Really Bhai! We had so much fun!" Arnav smiles and agrees, "Seriously guys, but actually, you guys should have seen us in college. We would be on one side and the entire college team on the other side!"
Little packet, of course, thinks this is "Wow, so cool!"
Arnav continues, "Yeah, in fact we used to have a nickname..can't remember what it was.." "Awesome twosome!" yells Sheetal. "Bang on!" Arnav reaches for an automatic hi-5, before remembering this was 2012...
Little packet was saying something about a threesome, while Arnav was thinking, Wow, I forgot how bad the Harvard basketball team was! Was that really what they called us? Awesome Twosome? I have to make sure that nickname doesn't leave the house. No one would take me seriously'.not in AR and definitely not in Delhi!
Arnav snaps back to attention when Nani says that seeing Aarav reminds her of Chotte's childhood. Oh no, not more embarrassing stories..how can I distract everyone..hey! "Khushi kaha hai?" She's been acting so weird lately.."Hum yehi hain," comes the immediate reply. "Khushi, kaha thi tum?"
Mami, thinking with her stomach, states that Khushi went to get sweets to sweeten everyone's mouths after the win, as she gives one jalebi to Aarav.
"No!" denies both Arnav and Sheetal. Why am I yelling?? Sheetal tries to tell Aarav that he doesn't like sweets, which doesn't work obviously because he's a kid. When Aarav doesn't believe her, Arnav jumps in to save the day, "Look Aarav, if you want to be a basketball player, you'll have to give up sweets. You can still eat ghar ka khanna and salad! Yum! You want to be a basketball player, right? If not, jalebi is good!" I really hope he wants to be a basketball player..
Surprisingly, chotta packet agrees. "Big players also have to do homework, so I'll go do mine."
Wow, that was easy.
Di has been observing this scene for a while. "Chotte, ab tumhe bhi bachhe handle karna aagaya hai?" Where is she going with this?? Mami jumps in, "Hello hi bye bye! Oo ka kahath hai? Perfect makes practice man!" What?? The ever helpful NK interjects, "Massi, practice makes men perfect, okay?" "Ohe! Aur phir..apna baccha hojaye to aur bhi easy hojaye. Kahe Arnav bitwa?" Nani and Di both smile at this.
Arnav looks at Khushi. What's wrong with Khushi? She's been looking so worried ever since..ever since she met Aarav..but Khushi's so good with kids..why would Aarav make her nervous? What the! Arnav! How could you be so stupid! Of course Aarav makes her nervous - first you give her so much trouble, she must be thinking of how much trouble she'll be in when both me and our son team up! Hmmm finally an opportunity!
After clearing his throat, "Di..aap mujhse kyun kehrahi ho? Main to kabse taiyaar hoon. Aap na, apki laadli Khushi se baat karni chaiye." Di looks confused.
"Kya!", exclaims Khushi. "Yeh aap kya kehrahe hain!" "Sach hi to kehraha hoon, Khushi. Yaad hai, Janmashtami ke din maine kya kaha tha?"
"Haw! Muhje to sab yaad hai! Aap bacche ke bare me nahi..hamari su..." Khushi get wide and she stops just as she remembers what their talks were really about. Aha! Got you now Khushi! She turns bright red, "Khushi, isme sharmani ke kya baat hai? Darr to subko hota hai, hai na, Di?" Aur tum kitni darr rahi thi, mujhe acche se yaad hai.
Di looking confused, "Lekin Khushi, aap kyun dari hui hain? Aap to bacche ke sath kitne acche se rehti hain?" With a smirk, Arnav answers for Khushi, "Di, aap abhi tak nahi samji? Aap ne dekha nahi? Jabse Aarav agaya hai, Khushi kitna pareshan si lagri hai? Aap ko pata hai kyun? Mein batata hoon. Khushi ko is baat ka darr hai, ki agar hamara beta meri taraf gaya to woh do do ASRs ko kaise handle karengi?" Nani, Di, Mami, everyone bursts out laughing.
"Ha Chotte, pehle se aapko sambhalne ke liye unko inta kuch karna pardta hai. Jab aapka chotta ayega to woh kya karegi?" Di says smiling.
"Nahi Di! Aisa kuch nahi hai! Mein bilkul nahi dari hui hoon! Aur waise bhi - Aarav bilkul is Laad Governor ke copy hain. Bas isi liye Arnavji ko usko sambhalna itna asaan lag raha hai. Ladki bhi to ho sakti hain! Aap inse kyun nahi poochti - woh humari beti ko kaise sambhalenge? Thodi meeti, thodi pyaari, aur poori pagal - bilkul hamari jaisi! Boliye! Aap hum dono ko kaise sambhalenge?"
I didn't think about this..we could have a sweet little Khushi. One who would greet me with a big hug and ten kisses when I come home from work! How hard can it be? Oh wait, what if Khushi gives our pari some of her crazy ideas? How will I protect two of them at once! Wait! I'll just teach our pari to do whatever I tell her. She'll be small, so that won't be hard.
"Khushi, don't give our Pari any of your crazy ideas! Agar bachpan se we teach her to make smart plans, woh tumhari tarah sankadevi nahi banegi!"
"Meri sari ideas to kitne acche hain! Meri hi idea ne Jiji aur Jeejaji ki jodi banayi! Aur apne woh kurta pehna - Di kitni khush thi!"
"Aur tumhari plan ki wahje se, meri gadi jungle mein ruki thi, without gas. Muhje woh din bhi yaad hai!"
Khushi is so frustrated she frowns cutely, "aap na, kabhi meri baat nahi maante! Laad Governor kahike!" She storms off to their room. "Khushi! Khushi!" Arnav yells as he runs after her. Wow! I couldn't have planned that better myself if I tried! Finally! Some alone time with my wife. And now that everyone is thinking about kids..no one will interrupt us! ;)
