Aadat Se Majboor

Chapter 2

For a second, both of them stood there awkwardly. There were meeting for the first time and other than the fact that both were charmed by the other, they knew nothing about each other. Rey was the flirter but even he was lost of words. He had no idea where to start the conversation from. Kriya looked around at everyone else but at him, wondering if he would ever speak up. At last, thank goodness for that, he did!

"So' I take it you don't live around here?" he asked.

"Why would you say that?"

'If you lived here, you would have long been my girlfriend.' He murmured to himself.

She asked, "What?" not really hearing a word he said.

He changed his sentence as he spoke out-loud. "I pretty much know all the pretty ladies in town." He said, putting on his charming smile.

She bought it and continued the flirting. "Well, well, thank you for the compliment." He gave a cheerful grin at how easily she was flirting back with him. The girls he knew would simply go deep crimson color at his flirting. And here she was'slightly blushing but not letting that come in the way and flirting back.

Setting that aside; she replied, "You're right. I don't live around here. I used to. Since the last 7 years, I've been in London."

"Aa! No wonder." He said, almost to himself but out loud.

She asked narrowing her eyes. "What?"

"I just mean' the ladies around here don't really flirt back so openly. You obviously have the foreign experiences in you. So how long are you staying?"

"9 days."

"Just 9 days?" he exclaimed. "Who would fly all the over to India just for 9 days?"

"Uh' me?!" she replied, making it obvious.

"But why waste money?"

"It's not about money' Actually, I never cared how much money I waste. I was just missing the celebrations and there's nothing like celebrating the festivals with friends in India. This year, I just came back. I would have stayed longer but college you know. Can't goof around and such."

"Hmm' Tough studies?"

"It's Oxford!" she replied and he understood. He cursed out.

"Damn. That's tough and a wonder as well. Beauty with brains. I like that."

She again smiled at his open compliments that never seemed to stop. "So, do you only dress up hot or do you dance?"

He stood up straight at the challenge. "Oh, do I dance? If only you knew."

"Knew what?"

"You see my group? We're the best dancers around."

"Hah, I don't believe that." She said just to throw in a challenge. She knew he could probably dance.

"Did you just challenge me?" She crossed her arms across her chest as if to give him an attitude. "OH, you're so on!" he said grasping her meaning.

"To make it interesting' what do I get if I win?"

"If you win, I'll give you a tour of the city. For the whole day, I'll be your slave." He put in.

"Are you sure? I can be very demanding." She put in, intimidating him. He braved up.

"Nothing I can't handle. And if I win, you come on a date with me."

"The tour would be a date." She said. He shrugged his shoulders. She gave an impressed smile. He had made the bet in a way that even if she won or lost; she would have to go out with him. "I swear you're the only person I know who's such a flirt!"

"Hey, Reyansh Singhania is a one-piece person. No one can be like him." He said boosting up his own pride. "Are you up for it or not?"

'You're on. Dandiya. The first one to stop loses."

"Let's go." Said Kriya.

While all this happened with them, Swayam followed Sharon to the corner to please her. Judging from her speed, she was really mad. "Sharon'. Sharon listen to me."

"Why? Why should I huh? All boys are the same! Ladki dekhi nai ki shuru ho gaye!"

She continued but he grabbed her hand and pulled her back, making her crash into his chest. Some stopped to stare but eventually moved on. Neither of them paid attention to the others around. She looked at the ground, not wanting to look into his eyes.

"You really think I'm like that?"

"That's what it looked like!" she replied.

He challenged her, "I want to know what you believe. Not what you think."

"What? Is this your new way to force me into things?" she taunted back. He closed his eyes to let the anger pass by. She was taking the frustration in a completely different way.

"I'm sorry. Please forgive me?" he said, letting go of her and holding his ears instead. She melted at his cute, puppy eyed face. But stayed strong and pulled the smile away from her face. She turned his back to him to show she was still mad and walked away to a corner and stood behind a tree. She loved being pampered. Mostly by him. As she knew, he came in front of her to continue to apologize. She turned her back to him again.

He figured out that she wasn't mad anymore as he saw the secret smile on her face. He realized she was putting up an act. He knew one way to completely melt her in front of him.

He stood right behind her and blew air in her ear, making her tickle and move her shoulders up to avoid the tickling. He did it again on the other side and she gave the same response. Circling her waist from standing behind her, he pressed her body to him, making her somewhat lose her senses. Her breathing became rapid as she stood that in anticipation. He buried his head by her nape and played around' making their faces touch. His hands wondering down her shoulders till they finally caught her hand.

Suddenly, he pulled her closer to him, making her face him and held it close to his chest while his other hand was around her back. They stood like that for a while. Her head stayed buried in his chest as she wasn't in the place to face him. The closeness between their faces was intimidating. Her heart continued to beat faster as it fell in rhythm with his heart.

"I'm sorry." He whispered in her ear. She circles her arm around her as they stood there in the hug. He knew she had forgiven him. He continued. "She is just a friend I'm meeting after a long time. You know I love you."

"I'm sorry." She said, taking him by surprise for a second.

He bent back a little, making her look up to him. "For what? Being possessive? Oh don't. I love pampering you after you get mad."

She giggled and gave him a soft slap on his chest. He took her up in a quick hug again before they parted to go back to the celebration ground. Nearing it, they say everyone was circles around and something was happening in between. As they pushed past the crowd, both of them saw the competition going on between Kriya and Rey.

Both of them equally better and had a counter-attack to the other person's moves. As they went along, both of them seemed to get more and more impressed by the other. Swayam let out an 'Uh-Oh.' Sharon asked, "What happened?"

"This could go on forever. All of us know Rey is an excellent dancer and he doesn't know that she is a professional dancer."

"What?!" Sharon let out shocked. "She'll crush Rey." She said, not literally.

"Yea. We have to stop this." He said and started to go in when she pulled him back.

"No, just watch for a while. It's entertaining to see someone who can outsmart Rey."

Swayam decided to go with it. "It is fun'" he slowly agreed. Both of them stood back to watch the live-entertainment.

Off to Rey and Kriya, both of them started on it together now instead of the individual steps.
