Just married Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor were supposed to perform together for the first time post their wedding at the Colors' People's Choice Awards held on Saturday, October 29, but it couldn't happen! And the reason is Saif, who backed out stating ill-health.
However, like a thorough professional Kareena Kapoor kept her promise, and performed at the awards even when Saif wasn't there to give her company. The Saifeena special act was supposed to have the two actors performing on separate solo dance routines before joining each other for a joint dance.
It's learnt that Saif informed the organizers on Thursday about his unwillingness to dance on the show, and that he is unwell. Thus the plan to have both Saif and Kareena sharing the same stage post their wedding couldn't really materialize. So, the worried organizers decided to rope in the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa winner Gurmeet Choudhary and Rithvik Dhanjani to fill in for Saif's part of the dance routine.
Since both Gurmeet and Rithvik are terrific dancers, they didn't take much time to practice. They danced to Saif's songs like Tumhi Ho Bandhu from Cocktail and Raabta from Agent Vinod. Kareena Kapoor performed solo on her hit numbers Halkat Jawani from Heroine and Chamak Challo from Ra.One
