Mutilation of Gehna's character

Since Neha Marda left, Gehna and even Basant have just become caricatures in BV... they exist only because there need to be some family members! Gehna used to be such a firebrand but now the character is a nobody...! i guess its because the CVs have no imagination left in terms of her character- maybe they feel she has been milked enough... Honestly, I see this as a gradual fade-out of the Singhs from BV... think about it... Sugna-Shyam family is pretty much out of the picture. The show has been surviving without Sumitra... Bhairon, Basant, Gehna are just there... doing nothing. Actually since Anandi-Jagya grew up... all these characters were grossly overshadowed. Now that we have Shivu, everybody is completely eclipsed 😆

I think there will be parallel story of jagya with singhs and ansh in circuit house.

I agree.Gehna's character has undergone mutilation beyond recognition.I mean it's ok if there has been a change in the cast but character shouldn't be changed.

There is no suguna jagya story, Sumatra is still not in the show,no more heat touching scenes

For all you know, Gehna may start questioning and become a sherni again, when she sees her son being blindly influenced by his bhaisa ---when J's plots are revealed 😈 --Definitely there will be a track on J upbringing, some sort of introspection by DS and how the same kind of treatment to Nandu is ultimately going to spoil him..We have to wait and see how she stands up to DS and Basant...

Great post, Michelle - spot on! Gehna was a fantastic character. Right at the beginning of this serial they showed some of the more horrific results of child marriage - Basant's first wife died in childbirth because she was too young. Then Gehna's forced marriage to a much older man and the resulting nightmare. She fought so hard and was never afraid to speak up.

i agree with you completely.earlier she was most sensible character of singh family after bhairo. she used to has a well sorted thoughts on every thing.she can easily guide anandi in difficult times in the absence of sumitra.more over she was closest to anandi in age and perceptions.but now she seems to left only to serve chai-nashta.
