'Ronit Roy is lying...'
Sarrkkar producer Manish Goswami lashes back
Reena Thapar Kapoor
This man has been livid with the recent rumours that are doing the rounds of the rumour mills. Manish Goswami who has always been a low-profile producer is going through a traumatic time, dealing with the rumours about his show Sarrkkar's lead actor Ronit Roy's alleged ouster. Manish, the official producer of the show says that Ronit can't even think of quitting the show because he is under contract. "He has signed the contract and he better abide by it. He is scheduled to shoot ten days a month with us.""And just to put the record straight we will never relieve Ronit from the contract, so there's no way that he will be able to quit the show or rather leave us in the lurch," informs Goswami. Incidentally, this is the first ever time that the producer has ever spoken about the issue though speculation has been on for sometime now. Earlier there were rumours about Roy quitting Balaji but the tide has turned and now it looks like Goswami's Sarrkkar will have to bear the brunt of Ronit's 'big' decision. The producer who has been in the TV business for long says that he is aware of the games people play in this profession. He is curious about how these rumours have started now. "I don't want to name anyone. But I certainly know that there is a third party instigating Ronit and floating rumours about him quitting my show." The man blames Roy for this mess. "For the last four months, Ronit's statements have been changing every day. That man has to get his act together and put an end to these supposed allegations. I believe he is talking about his loyalties towards Balaji, if he was that loyal he shouldn't have signed Sarrkkar at all. Didn't he know that it would be difficult for him to do three daily shows?" But, Ronit said that when he shot for the pilot of the show, it was to be a weekly. "He is lying!" snaps Manish. "I have the papers which he signed that mention that it was going to be a daily show. If he thinks that its getting too hectic for him to handle things, then its his problem. I don't give a damn about whether he shoots 16 hours a day or 24 hours a day. I'm only interested in making sure that my work happens on time without any disruptions."
we will never relieve Ronit from the contract, so there's no way that he will be able to quit the show or rather leave us in the lurch- manish goswami.
