Eight months after their wedding, Tina decided to exchange rings and say her vows with husband and actor Hussain all over again — this time in a traditional Christian style. "It was always my dream to dress up in a gown and walk down the aisle. So I decided to surprise Hussain," smiles Tina.
The 'Nach Baliye' (Star One) couple complete a year this December, but in a bid to do something adventurous Tina planned this celebration last weekend and threw a party at the Rainforest Caf. "I thought this would be a really pleasant surprise for Hussain. I invited all my friends as well as his colleagues from the television industry," she reveals.
Tina continues, "I thought it was a great idea to get all the participating couples from 'Nach Baliye' since none of the couples interact with each other." On being asked about this indifference, Tina quickly pips in, "There is no deliberate reason. Maybe everyone is very busy with shootings and rehearsals. So we haven't had enough time to be together."
Talking about her Christian wedding Tina further elaborates, "I wanted to have a traditional flavour but did not want to hurt Christian sentiments at the same time. So we cut a cake, exchanged rings and raised a toast."
An excited Tina adds that she is looking forward to 'Nach Baliye', "I have been practising with my sprained arms. I hope all our hard work pays off."
