Okay folks, with the baby track out of the way forever, I was wondering where they will possibly go next with regard to Ashutosh and Nidhi! I had an inkling that they might go a certain route. Although I have not seen the episode, the update makes me think that I could be on the right track!
Nidhi herself acknowledged that Dr Nidhi has left Mrs Ashutosh behind. She even acknowledged Ashutosh's loneliness. She assured herself that all would be well and Ashutosh would be proud of her, I have a feeling the future track is going to test this belief in a big way.
Like Nidhi said, Ashutosh may well feel proud at the end of it. What about during the interim? How is he going to respond to continuous late nights and lack of attention from his wife? Khushi's presence is going to mitigate his loneliness to a degree. What happens when Khushi leaves?
Ashu is going to face a twin attack. On the one side, there is going to be the exposure to RanJi's happiness as they get ready to welcome their baby. On the other side, there is going to be the loneliness brought on by his wife's absorption with her career. How is Ashutosh going to handle this? What are the problems that are going to come up as a result?
I think this is a very good track and one with a lot of potential for drama if handled well. Even couples who are madly in love slowly drift apart owing to career pressures. Cracks start developing as a result of the growing gap between the couple. Many a time, extramarital affairs are a result of this. Even if not physical, couples look for emotional companionship at least elsewhere when they find their partners are not around when they need them.
it is also a good track in terms of age-gap. Ashutosh is already well-set in his career. He can plan his work at his pace to some extent. He does not need to prove anything to do anybody. Nidhi, by virtue of being younger, is desperate to prove herself. Somewhere, she is bound to start taking her husband for granted in her hunger for success. Her assumption that her dreams are Ashutosh's dreams is proof of that.
There is a huge conflict of needs here. Ashutosh longs for home and family while Nidhi longs for success. She seems to have said that house means wait. So, how long will the wait continue? Will the other person's priorities have changed by the time you are ready to end the wait? will the other person still be waiting when you are ready to come back home?
If handled maturely, this could be a fabulous track. I don't know if this is what the CVs have in mind. But if they are, I would sure want to watch.
P.S - KPji has said that Nidhi does not know Ashutosh yet. She will take sometime to learn. and face her share of troubles in the interim. This kind of confirms my suspicions. Success always comes at a price. Nidhi is going to have to pay the price too. Will the success be worth the price? That is going to be the tag line of the future track maybe.
