And in addition to the fact that it could lead to pregnancy. Unwanted pregnancy. Since we are talking about flings.

Personally, I am against this track, for the above reason as well as the social message (and SP might deny till the cows come home, but the fact remains there is a social message here or messages) that comes across. Is it OK to have sex without protection. In this day and age, especially? Where the slightest touch of disease can result in tragedy?!
I am also against it, because it taints my image of the hero. Granted he is flawed. But flaws can be corrected.
BTW, I agree with what someone else said. Just because you live in the Western world and go to Harvard does not mean that you are a floosie!!!! Or the male equivalent of that! That's just a generalization.
I grew up in the West and mostly all my friends are non-Indian. But we are not pre-marital sex supporters. It just depends on the person, I think. Where you live or went to school or University is quite irrelevant, and just the byproduct of the situation!

Harvard graduate or not passion can take over. Accidents do happen even with the best laid plans. No one and nothing is infallible. To err is human. Nothing hew there
His flaws do not make him inhuman. They make him unreasonable, unbending and uncompromising but nevertheless he is human. He is not some santicfied god nor a robot.
He is flesh and blood.
Being a Harvard graduate does not make him a Lothario but the western society is much less shocked and judgemental about what goes on in one's private life.
They are far more accepting and its in many cases the way of life. Freedom of thought, speech and act is a norm.
Of course its an individual aspect and one can never generalise but nevertheless its a fact of life in the west and not as frowned upon as it is elsewhere.

The concept of this so called worldy wise character being purer then snow is not exactly compatible with the image that has been personified.
Anyway who will teach two innocents about the facts of life and about the birds and the bees on their wedding night.
It could be a long rather laboriously unexciting and tedious night😆

the call of the wild my friend...
