Part 18
Fingering her partially bruised lip, she trembles.

Walking deep into the heart of the office, eyes cast downwards hair hiding face. Her eyes look up….. her carefully covered lips to shadow all mark are shown.
Her frame looks tired and she staggers a little unaware of where she is heading until someone calls out.
"Miss.Dixit(long pause)…..Miss.Dixit are you listening to me…..the boss is not in a good mood today and he has requested to see you in the office today…now actually to discuss some paper work….Miss.Dixit ( person sighs…) bani….tum sunrahi ho…are you listening??
She(bani) whirls around to meet the face of her colleague and friend "dev" a soft smile plays her lips….
"Dev….areh…sorry…what were you saying…..acha..i'll go now"
She is hesitant with her steps….scared of him yet even more of his touch and words of truth…"admit it…."
Yet before she can proceed she is stopped as his(dev) hand reaches out grabbing a firm hold of her elbow, forcing her eyes to meet his which show concern……
His eyes widen…
"Bani…yeh kya huwa….what happened…."
His eyes trail over the bruise….
She swears in her head cursing her off guard move….
"kutch nahi dev…..meh bus yunhi chalrahi thi…aur phir wall…(pauses) I bashed into the wall dev…now don't laugh" She allows her lips to form a fake amused smile, praying that he falls for her lie….fortunately he does…
Laughing he touches her shoulder affectionately…
"bani tum bhi naa…"

She smiles turning away just wanting to run away from his eyes before others come to ask for the reason behind her mark…..
Closing her eyes she enters the, for once, empty lift allowing it to take her to his(jai) office where only he knew what awaited her.

Breathing deeply trying to soothe all nerves, her breaths are raspy and shaky. She scrunches her fist trying to soothe her heart rate….yet to no avail.
She fingers once more "her" mark and shudders….he had marked her as his without even touching her….he had…made her his….

Now getting out of the lift making her way towards the reception….
Entering through the door waiting to see Anjali in her usual spot, yet she is not there instead the door is ajar…approaching slowly, she hears nothing…knocking softly…still no sound….she enters…..and then her tears fall and her mouth drops in shock…

There stands Mr.Walia…extremely close to his secretary…..tightly close… kissing…
OUCH…NOW THAT HAS TO HURT NO??

Her body goes numb with shock….how could he…..
She slowly backs out of the door shaking….
Tears fall but then her stance and face hardens…why should she care for him…so what….not like they held any relationship!
Turning now back…..she walks towards the reception…picking up the phone and dialling….

He picks up sounding flustered and hears her voice, his ears throb yet he also hears a touch of something else in her voice….he smiles realizing what…
Confirming her entry into his room, he ushers his secretary out who herself looks flustered and annoyed seeing Bani enter…yet she (bani) gives her none what so ever attention….
Eyes set dead on Mr.Walia…
She had come up with a decision finally….her body radiates determination.

The door slams behind them…he turns his back to her and walks to his desk picks up a project file flicking through it muttering…professionally….doesn't note her distress…
"haan….we should do it like this….(pauses breath shaky….) Miss.Dixit(pauses…sighing) here take this….."
No response….again he says…."Bani take this" He looks into her eyes and notes something….
He goes out to shove the file into her hand when….her voice interrupts his action……her fist is clenched and all blood is drained as if trying to soothe rherself….she whispers audibly with a tone of threat…..
"I quit (pauses)….do what you want but I can't work with you…."

She didn't slap him??? Looked like you got saved J!

She turns to leave but his voice hits her ears….ohhh why did he have this affect on her??
"Jealousy…."
His one word…..said it all…
"baneee( voice soft and gentle a simple low whisper)….Banee…(now behind her) kya huwa…….what happened…..(voice seductive and intense…..)dragei kya….yah phir…(smiles…voice still deep)"
She turns around eyes set in cold icy determination….yet still she melts…
Her scent engulfs his every sense…his hands go immediately up wrapping them around her waste…pulling her back closer….
"Shhhhhhhhhh" he whispers into her throbbing frame…hands trailing around her neck….her body tense….her back hitting his chest….his lips trail over her neck….
"kya huwa" he whispers softly…
He turns her around grip still firm…
His hold is soft and gentle…notes her carefully shadowed lips…he smiles…breathing soft…….it touches her neck…
His eyes are intense with passion….
His lips linger and touch gently his mark…making her shudder and wince yet instead of pain a soothing affect takes place….
Lips' slowly trailing over hers…..fire blazing….his touch is gentle…
"Baneee…..you can't run from me….(voice low and shallow….husky….)….you can't hide from me….I burn you as you light me…..quit if you want to(pauses) but you know you can't….i wont let you( breathes the last words into her ear)"
Mouth crushes over hers…soft and gentle…she responds….he smiles…..kissing her deeply and then letting go…
Whispering…
"You are jealous baneee….( voice filled with amusement…he pauses…..kissing her ear) not everything you see with your eyes is true( he hadn't been kissing anjali!)…but….(his lips once again touch her neck….hands entwine…)……shhh……admit it baneee…admit that you want me to touch you…to….make…..(voice is really soft and whispery, trails his finger down her cheek, doesn't finish the sentence allows the meaning to sink in)….."
Looked like he had known the reason for her sudden change in attitude…..anjali, he had known from the tone in her voice when she had phoned that she had seen them close together….actually his button had gotten struck in her long necklace….but she still didn't know that now did she??!!

He holds her…..her heartbeat fuses with his….his strong hands entwined in hers….watch showing…..glints in the sunlight….
Lips trailing once more over hers….her hands clutching his collar, inviting his down upon hers …the kiss is hard and long…she gives in as how long can she hide from him, hide her passion….
He breaks away….whispering husky softly…eyes closed grip still firm…
"I like it when you are jealous baneee…." The words echo in the air….her cheeks blush…
With that he lets go of her, not looking back…just walking to the door….
OUCH…..
Looked like the meeting was over but was it really…
