The plan was going on successfully. Khushi was overwhelmed with all the pressure and memoirs of her and Arnav. He had hated to see her cry, but had no other option. She wasn't happy without him, and that was evident. He, the great, would make it right. He already smiled at the thought of having Khushi as his.

On the other hand, Khushi couldn't stop crying. Why was it so difficult? So difficult to forget Arnav. To live without him. She had done it for four years. What was so wrong now? She then wiped her tears, and got ready to leave for Kirthi's function. She had a speech competition at her school today. It was her wish for her mother and father to come. But situations weren't such. She couldn't ask Arnav to come, could she? Would it tarnish her sacrifice of four years by doing so? But he also had a right to be involved in his daughter's life, right? She started to walk to Arnav's cabin to see him packing his personal belongings. He was caressing a photo frame of Khushi and Kirthi. He stroked it with his loving fingers, and gave it a gentle kiss. See this, Khushi closed her eyes, longing to feel the kiss. She opened her eyes again, and said, "Arnav ji, what are you doing?"

Arnav looked sternly at Khushi, and said, "I have an important event to attend. Probably the biggest and most important event in my whole life. Then, I'll be leaving, back to India. I don't like the atmosphere here." He left and Khushi sighed and closed her eyes, "I guess he won't be able to attend Kirthi's event now. But, at least, he'll be leaving. It's so complicated with him here. If only, things would go back to normal.."

Khushi made her way to St. Mary's Convent School for girls. She witnessed all the complete families entering the gymnasium. A tear left her eye, thinking that she had been the sole reason that Kirthi didn't have a complete family. She deserved it. Arnav would love her bits to pieces. He would be the best father ever. She wiped her tears, and went inside- to see a sight that was priceless to her. Kirthi was hugging Arnav, and crying. Public speaking was not her forte, and Arnav comforted her. "Baby, don't worry. We're all here. I'm sure you'll do great. Just imagine that there is no audience, and you're talking to an empty wall. I'm always here for you." He leaned into her and kissed her forehead, Kirthi smiling. Khushi adored the sight before her. But, Arnav had an important event to attend right? Her mouth formed an 'o', this was the event! She was right, Arnav was the best father. She couldn't meet herself in her own eyes. She had separated a father from his child. She had deprived a daughter of her father's love. Arnav had a right to know of Kirthi. She was wrong. She settled in her seat, to see Arnav ignore her and sit in the next row. He was hurt, and had every right to be.

The lights were dimmed. Khushi said a silent prayer for Kirthi that she have the courage to speak, and that her topic didn't have anything to do with fathers. The announcer then introduced Kirthi Gupta on the stage. Kirthi bowed and Arnav put a thumbs up in the air, and Kirthi gave one right back and smiled. She was given the box full of topics. Khushi closed her eyes tight as Kirthi dug her hand to pick her topic. She handed the small chit to the teacher.

"Kirthi, your topic is.. papa.."

Khushi opened her eyes suddenly to see a shock stricken Kirthi. Kirthi gulped hard, and repeated the word in complete daze. "Papa." Again. And again. She clutched her skirt tightly with her fingers. Tears started to brim her eyes, when she felt a hand get a hold of hers. He kneeled down, and spoke into the microphone-

Papa.

They say that a child's first word is mother.

A mother is priceless, but a father is equally important in a child's life..

Papa.

When a little angel on Earth opens her eyes for the first time, then the moment is indescribable for the father. There are no words to express it.

A father is someone whose return from the office is waited for by every child.

He can turn into a horse and even take you out for ice cream in the middle of the night with no complains, just a silly smile.

The whole world of a father revolves around his child.

Every step of father keeps in mind his child and their future.

A father is one who always tries to be good person in their child's eyes.

A father is one that waits more excitedly for the arrival of a new guest in the family than even the mother.

He weaves countless dreams for his child,

His own little world..

Kirthi had tears in her eyes, and hugged her dad tight, crying into hi shoulders. "I love you, papa!" Arnav fought back his tears, and soothed her, "I love you too, beta. I'm here now, and no one can separate us. No one." He glanced at Khushi who was sitting in shock, in realization of her sin. She sat there in tears, with an indescribable feeling. Everyone else also had tears in their eyes, and stood up in applause and praise.

Khushi ran out of the gymnasium in tears, while Arnav and Kirthi embraced each other in an inseparable hug.. Kirthi and Arnav smiled ear to ear, their family was perfect now..
