Chapter 26

Part 1

They were standing in the departure lounge.. looking at each other silently ..

The words were unable to convey their feeling as their eyes was doing ..

After a long moments of meaningful silence , Khushi extracted an Olive scarf ,that she made the last night, from her bag ..

She said: " This is .. This is for you, I .. I .. Made it last night .. I know it's somehow crude, that's because I'm beginner in crochet ... But I was insistent to make it for you ... And , and I don't know whether you will like it or not, whither it will be useful for you or not .. But I ... "

Arnav eyes sparkled, he pulled the her hands along with the scarf and pressed his lips on her hands, one after another..

" I like it .. It's awesome .. The best thing that I ever got in my life.. it means to me a lot that you made it, for me , by your beautiful hands.. "

He said before taking it from her hands, he wrapped it around his neck proudly, Ignoring that it's color was totally not matching with his dark blue suit , ignoring that the weather was very warm to wear a scarf , and ignoring some curios eyes that was looking at him ..

Before she or he they could say anything more , The flight announcement forced Arnav to take a deep breath before saying : " I .. I shall go now .. Take care of yourself ...and... I will miss you .. a lot " he ended with the last sentence with a voice show how much it's hard for him to leave her ..

khushi thrower herself in the hard chest in front of her : " Don't take too much there , I'm waiting for you "

Arnav caressing her back : " I won't .. The next time I will came to US , I promise you that I won't go anywhere here with your .. I promise "

Khushi stayed in his arms weeping silently, the final announcement of Delhi flight ,forced Khushi to pull back ..

" Bye " he simply said, before walking away from her Her with heavy steps ..

The tears was flowing from her eyes ..

And he e couldn't prevent a few tears from flowing too .. But he wiped it quickly ..

He was resisting his desire to turn and see her before he leave , but he didn't as he know if he did, he will not be able to leave ..

She waited till his vision faded away .. And then she returned back to the car, feeling completely empty and lonely with him ..

They didn't imagine that it will be very hard to separate, even if it for some days..!

After 13 hours, 1:30 pm

" finally !" Khushi said to her self dialed his number..

" Khushi " he said ..

Khushi: " Arnav" .. Her tears start together in her eyeballs .. And Arnav could sense that from the changing rhythm of her breath ..

Arnav: " Khushi .. Please don't do that .. You are making it harder for me .. it's just a matter of few days and we will be together forever, forver Khushi .. But in this few days, I cannot live peacefully knowing that you are torturing yourself .. "

khushi wiped her tears and smiled: " I'm .. I'm sorry " ..

Arnav: " I will not accept your sorry till you promise me that you will not cry anymore .. When you miss me , just remember the beautiful memories that we shared together and don't cry, just smile "

Khushi smiled , his words gave her some strength: " I promise you that .. I .. I will try …. Where are you know ?"

Arnav: " I'm still in the car, in my way to Raizada Mansion .. And what about you, what you are doing ?"

khushi: "In the kitchen.. cooking "

Arnav couldn't prevent himself from laughing after remembering their dinner ..

khushi pouted on the phone: " I know that the dinner was horrible , but you eat it for me…. So I decided to start to learn how to cook, and you will see, I will become better than you" ..

Arnav laughed again.. He teasingly told her to learn how to cook his favorite dishes, and asked her to learn everything about marital life, not only cooking ..

The conversation flow between them , hearing each other voice was easing the hardness of the separation ..

All his family's members were waiting for him, Nani, mamaji, Mamiji, Di, and Akash .. They welcomed them in his house , and show their happiness of his permanent return back ..

Akash: " so bhai, did you like living for 4 moths in US "

Khushi sight came in front of his eyes and he replayed: " a lot .. I wished if I have never left, even if it for few days "

All of them opened their eyes wondering what happened to Arnav, and what made him say that ..

Anjali: " what ... Listen chotte , I will not allow to go anywhere, specially there, for at least 4 months " she pouted ..

Arnav looked at her : " What ?! .. No way .. after Akash wedding, I will return back there .. "

Anjali almost crying: " what ? .. W..why chotte .. How can you do that to us .. "

Arnav rolled his eyes and he said to his drama queen sister: " Don't worry, this time .. I will take you, and all the family members with me .. "

Mamiji was the happiest person after hearing this news.. And all the others show their excitement ..

Nani curiously : " but why chotte .. I mean it's the first time that you do that ?! What is there in US ?" ..

Arnav smiled , and somehow blushed , he thought that it will be better if he told them later , because telling them now, is an open invitation for countless carious question from the three ladies and unlimited teasing from all of them ..

" you will know when the time is right …. I'm exhausted now " he said before walking to his room .. Leaving unanswerable question , and countable guesses for the reason of his decision and US' sudden love ..

She was lying in her bed, their photo in front of her .. She remembered all their moment together .. This time she was smiling, as she promised Arnav that she will cry, Their memories were beautiful and deserve smiles and happiness not sadness tears..

She turned off the light, before hugging her teddy-bear that she called Arnav ..

Today she was very tired, she spent most of her day, trying to cook a proper creamy mushroom pasta , Arnav's favorite dish .. And after several failure attempts, she succeed with Sonu help ..

She was enjoying herself , and she was insisted to be a good cook before his return, to cook for him a delicious food which will make him forget her first awful dish..

She closed her eyes , and opened it due to her phone ringtone ..

It was Arnav, wanting to say " good night" to her .. He said:" at least my voice can be the last voice for you to hear before you sleep " !

Part 2

The Days were passing slowly for them, by each passing second their yearning and eagerness toward each other increase ..

For Khushi, their image, her teddy bear, her read sari that he gifted her in her birthday, and the engagement ring that she is waiting for him to embellish her hand with it in front of all people , were helping her to be comfortable in the tough times ..

While for Arnav, their photo, and the scarf that his family wondered why was this scarf so important for him , were helping him to pass the tough time without her ..

And of course , hearing each other voice ..

It was a daily routine for Arnav to call Khushi at 12:30 pm in Delhi , 10:00 pm in New York, and Khushi call Arnav at 4:30 pm in New Yourk – 7:00 am in Delhi .. and they call each other at 10:30 pm in Delhi - 8:00 am in New York .. To Start and end their day with each other voice ..

Khushi was busying her self with cooking lesson, from her "wondering" mother , Sonu, and from some recipes' book .. and she also was joining Liza and Ishu in Ishu's shopping for her wedding..

Arnav; In the other hand, was busy with Akash marriage rituals , he supported the eager Akash to complete the marriage rituals as soon as possible , and the family did, under the brothers insistence ..

Today was Akash's reception party.

No one was exited as Arnav was , he had planned to told his family about Khushi and his intention to marry her today , after the ending of the party ..

His smile was widen than any time before .. and his family noticed that , they were wondering why he was so happy, " Yesterday was Akash Suhag raat, or it was Arnav's ?!" Mami commented at Arnav state mockingly, and the family laughed at her comment, yet they agree ..

He was talking to Aman, and ting his tie, preparing himself to present himself to their gusts, when he feel himself being pulled to someone from back ..

She pressed herself intimately on his form ,, and she said whispery: " I missed you babe"

He was startled.. He knew this voice, but he cannot Identify who she was exactly..

He turned quickly to see who she was , and she was none other that " Lavanya " His ex-girlfriend ..

Arnav opened his eyes as he saw the last person he would like to see : " Lavanya !!"

She smiled and closed the small distance that was between them , she rounded his neck " Yes it's me , Lavanya !"..

She pressed her lips in his' , exploiting his shock and confusion state ..

As he felt her strange , unfamiliar lips on his, he pull round and pushed her roughly from her ..

He felt that he have cheated Khushi by allowing another woman to come close to that extent to him .. He looked at her angrily..

Lavanya expression soon converted from embarrassment to smiling: " You still angry with me! .. ASR, I know that I was delinquent, but please try to understand me .. when you left there was overwhelm with work , there was a huge pressure on me … I knew it cannot justify what I have done .. but please give me another chance , and I will compensate you for every thing .. I promise !"

She said and threw herself on his chest, and rounded him strongly.. Arnav was fuming , he tried to push her but Anjali throat clearing stopped him, and Lavanya pulled herself slowly from him ,,

They both looked at Anjali ..

Anjali trying to hide her smile : " Ermmm .. Sorry for interruption .. but Chotte, the gusts are waiting for your appearance " She winked to him ..

Arnav still angry , which Anjali reasoned it wrongly ..without saying anything, he walked away leaving the two women behind him ..

Anjali : " I'm sorry Lavanya ji , for coming in the wrong time" She giggled ..

Lavanya smiled : " It's Ok .. "

Anjali: " Why you don't go and join him ?! " She suggest ..

Lavanya nodded happily at Anjali " good" suggestion ..

He was talking with some gusts, when he felt a unwelcomed hand forcibly entwined with his ..

He turned to see Lavanya smiling at him ..

Arnav was in an emotional mess at that moment .. Thinking about Lavanya behevior .. Thinking about this unexpected thing .. he thought that by breaking up, Lavanya chapter is ended , but No , its not .. It was if he today saw something he was blind to see in the past .. Love made him blind !!

The gusts, who know Arnav and Lavanya and their relationship, they commented about them and how nice they looked together ..

Arnav was about to say that they broke up , but he couldn't , as the gusts kept interrupt him in addition to his distraction state ..

Lavanya reminded clinging to Arnav all the time, And Arnav was pissed off Lavanya and the gusts too , not to forget, Anjali and Mami and their stupid glances and smiles ..

Today, he finally realized and remembered that all Delhi, if not India, and his "fans" knew about his relationship with Lavanya- all thank to business magazines and paparazzi- , and hiding this truth from Khushi was not good decision.. at all !!

He pulled her to an empty corridor ..

Arnav : ": What the hell you think that you are doing ?!"

Lavanya walking to him seductively, but this time he stopped her before he could cross his personal space..

Arnav clinching his teeth: " If you hadn't understood what I had said that day .. I will repeat it .. I'm not interested to have any relationship with you .. We broke up, B R O K E U P dammit !! .."

Lavanya with teary eyes : " Whatever you will say or will do , I will never gave up .. I will do anything to recover our relationship .. because .. I love you !... why you cannot see understand that !"

Arnav anger increased, he felt that he should defense love: " Love ?! .. Do you even know what is love ?!.. Do you know that it's more than a word ?! Do you know how it can change your beliefs and your life ?! … Do you even know how it felt when you are away from the person you love even if it for a days?! … and Do you know how it hard to live without seeing his voice or seeing his face ?! …… You claim that you know ?! then how come that you haven't even called me for 2 months .. How could you live your life without me very normally ?! how comes that you haven't try to know if I'm ill, alive, if I need something ?!"

It was not love ! Arnav knew that .. he was in love, and he know how it feel to love someone .. how it feel when you are forced to leave the one you love .. he know it !

He took a deep breath and said calmly : " I'm not blaming you for that Lavanya .. It is not like I was better than you …. I haven't care about you, I haven't missed you, nor I tried to contact you …. Lavanya it's obvious and let's be honest with each other ..I don't love you, nor you love me .. I don't want to hurt you more, so please try to understand that it is better for me and for you to end this relationship …. I'm sure you will find someone who love you, and deserve you …"

He said while staring at Lavanya who was crying silently .. she looked at him challengingly and said : " As I said, whatever you will say or will do , I will not gave up"

Arnav anger increased , he clinched his jaw and said: "Do whatever you want , but don't blame me for anything I will do .."

He was about to walk away from her when he stopped ans said : " And ,, don't try to come close to me or act as my girlfriend, it will help you to avoid public humiliation !"

Part 3

He was lying in his couch , closing his eyes ..

Wondering, how can he clear this mess .. how can he recover his mistake by hiding this truth from Khushi !

When he hide it, he was thinking in short term ! .. He won Khushi love , he gain her trust , and he lived the happiest day in his life with her ..

By hiding this truth , they decided to marry , and they still can marry without any problems as their wedding will be in US , and she will not know about Lavanya and his previous relationship .. They will enjoy few weeks of happiness that they waited since long time ..

But then !!

What will happened when they return back here ! , Every one here knew about his relationship with Lavanya .. and he cannot control all people and make them forget it ! .. sooner or later, Khushi will know.. from Lavanya , from his family, from the people , or from the media .. She will know for sure ..

Then when she know what will happened ?!

She will lose her trust in him , she will think that he will leave her as he did with the others, she will leave him .. Their dream will trun to nightmare ..

He don't want that ! he don't want temporary relationship with Khushi .. He want her forever .. Forever!

He cannot tolerate her broken , the trust that she gave to him only fade ..He cannot tolerate seeing Khushi, that their love helped her to be optimism, return back to her depression again ! he cannot be the reason of her second hurtful past !

He was between to hells , and he ought to chose one ..

And he made his decision .. She should know from him before anyone else .. and he will tell her NOW .. hw wasn't thing that he is rushing at all , Already he was very very leate in telling her this thing that she should know long time ago ..

He now that he did a big mistakes by hiding it at the first place , but he will recover his mistake , Now ..

"If Khushi accepted me & my love regardless of my past's actions & relationships , then nothing can separate us .. Whatever people will tell her, and whatever Lavanya will do in future .." he know !

He toke a deep breath before he toke his phone .. He dialed the number of the chief editor of a business newspaper's– That he told Khushi to read it and see his& his family on it - number ..

He asked him to publish his and Lavanya break up news , tomorrow, in the first page , and he will pay any amount that he want..

He want all people to know about his official breakup, regardless of what will be Khushi decision after knowing the truth .. he want to prove that he love her and her decision whatever what it will be , will not change him and his love , he has change because of her, and he will remain like that under any circumstance ..

It was 10:30 pm in Delhi, which mean 8:00 am in New York .. It's the time that they used to call each other at ..

He dialed her number nervously, fears and stress obvious in his face .. He remembered her reaction when he told her "half the truth " that day and he was sweating .. He felt his heart pluses' stopped several times, while he wait for her to answer his call ..

He heard her sleepy sweet voice: " Good morning : she giggled before correcting " I mean good evening"

Arnav closed his eyes, trying to talk normally: " Good morning .. How are you?!"

Khushi stretched her arms: " After hearing your voice, how I would be ?!"

Arnav smiled at his flirting Khushi, he said vulnerably : " I .. I love you Khushi ... you know that, don't you?!"

Though she heard it from him several times , but this time was totally different .. She felt her heart beats increased rapidly, she immediately sat in her bed and said: " Is this a question ?! Of course I know .. "

A several moment of silence were between them, till Khushi said: " A-Arnav .. is there is something wrong ?! .. Why I feel that .."

Arnav sighed: " Khushi .. I have to till you something important "

Khushi: " Tell me quickly please .. Don't play with my nerves!!"

Arnav: "First promise me that you will not interrupt me till I say all what I have .. and also, promise me that you will toke enough time to think about what I will say before saying anything….. take weeks .. , months .., as much as you want .. I will wait ... "

Khushi heartbeats increased dangerously, She felt very weak after what he said , her face was expressionless , ( it's seem something serious .. maybe his family didn't agree of his marriage to - criminal's - daughter ?! , or maybe .. maybe he has some dangerous disease !! ) , Khushi thought, and she felt shudder in her whole body

She closed her and said with a fear: " I.. I promise you that I will not interrupt you,,,, and I I promise you that I will think about what you will say ….. now please ..!! "
