I fail to understand what this show is trying to achieve?

1) Indo-pak unity - NOOO

2) Music suprioriy - Definitely NO

3) Cultural exchange - NOOO

4) TRP - YES (seems not getting it though)

5) Respect for talent across the boarders - NO

To me the brief of channel to Director looks like this:

Put two controversial personalities as judges, make sure their hatered is well know, then put a "respected" looking Jury - ask them to be biased, put together contestants n publicise them as warriors. Keep the scores tipping like cricket match, make them fight ,shout , pout and put some music in between... Try to make it look like a great national show where respect of countries is at stake and lastly let it end in a tie to keep everyone happy ...there you get the show !!!

Purpose of the show as far as I can see - get into Pakistan/Bangladesh market. Obviously this nonsense wont attract Indian viewers and there are way better music shows in India. This whole thing is set up for a Pakistani singer to win. Anyway Asha-ji also left the show. All I see is some kind of a muslim love fest! So good luck with whatever they want to do with the show. I am done as this show makes my blood boil! Pathetic cheap attempt to get into a new market..Shame on the producers!
