Participating celebs perfect their dance steps to get ready for D(ance)-day!
The promos are all over town and it's only a matter of time before we get to see India's favourite celebrities shaking a leg (and more!) in two major dance competitions. Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and Nach Baliye 2 are all set to woo audiences this month, on Sony and Star One, respectively. While Jhalak… premieres next Thursday, it still hasn't been announced when Nach Baliye would be aired.
Participants, however, have started practicing for the competition in a big way. After all, the prize money, the winning couple gets goes up in lakhs. Everyday we hear of celebrities twisting their leg or hurting their back while practicing for the competition. So how ready are they to face the cameras and prove their dancing skills?

I practice five hours daily. It's more of physical exercise and a lot of stretching to become more active. It becomes hectic but the pressure is building up as the competition is getting stronger!
I try and put as much time as I get after my shoots. Sometimes, I put in four to six hours and some times two. It's wonderful to learn to dance proper Salsa or Disco but it's very tough as well."
I try and put in two to four hours of practice. Since I'm a beginner the pressure is less. My choreographer has been very co-operative and is very good, she never loses her calm!
On an average, I practice for four hours. Thankfully, I have an excellent choreographer who is very competent and makes sure I get into the groove. It's a great experience.
I practice for four hours regularly with my choreographer. I faced some difficulties initially because it's a very professional and proper dancing format. I even had blisters on my feet because of dancing in high heels but now I'm getting use to it.
I try and put in as much time as I get, but I just hope that the judges also give points to me for making people laugh rather than concentrating only on the dancing skills!
