Before anything, Just want to say my POV.the kid will Not be ASR's son...They will show him to be initially ...but later it will be revealed that he is not his son and the mother did this for money/revenge!! Purely my speculation..Coz I cant fathom Arnav having a kid...I cant...bas keh diya!!
The man says he doesnt want to be wished but the only thing that is bothering him is that Khushi has not wished him. In his angry tirade, he spills whats in his heart and tells an astonished khushi that even though he does not want it, but he expects to be wished...by her atleast...That even though he really isn't all emotional types, but coz this is the first B'day after their marriage, he expected a greeting!!
I liked the simple scene...A husband clearly expresses his needs..not directly of course but there is an underling meaning to his every word...no need of any bigdecorations, No need to have a "jalsa" in the house...Khushi's heartfelt greeting is his biggest celebration š³
This love has made him transparent and somehow he is still reeling from that..Everyday is a new revelation, discovery of a surprise trait that he never thought he had!!! I like this natural progression of the character!! very nicely brought out!!
On the other hand, his honest words are like a dagger to Khushi's heart...He is accusing of her not doing the very things she desperately wanted to do!! So she retorts back...And this time, it is her honest words that pierce his heart!!š³
**Match made in heaven?? Oh ,definitely!**š
He is struck speechless at his Sanka devi's words..her acknowledgement of the changes she has gone through for this relationship, her disappointment at hisrigid stance of not changing at all!!
One thing that has always got a fierce reaction from Khushi is Arnav's anger..and the same thing happened today! More than what he is saying, I think it is the way he is saying it, that makes her angry and sad...I think this is within her character!!
Everyone wishes him at the dining table...but the only wish he is looking forward to is being kept at bay!! He looks at Khushi's face expectantly...but she denies him the pleasure...
Nani can easily understand both her fav children's dilemma. The matriarch tries to explain Arnav his folly and ease the situation somehow..
but Arnav babua, has had enough. Without responding, he leaves to his private sanctuary.
Today's scene with Akash reminded me of the similar scene between two brothers just before Payash wedding...when an excited Akash talked about what love does to a man and all Arnav could think about was Khushi and the changes in she is bringing out in him...
On that day, Akash unknowingly helped Arnav to see whats in his heart, to acknowledge the "uniquely unfamiliar" feeling as love... Today, Knowingly, he delves into the strange womanly ways, their stranger ways of expressing their love..but most significantly, their importance in men's lives...
I really liked the scene...Not just coz it appealed to me as a womaš...That too did happenš...but more so, because it shows a very good and positive quality in Akash...
A Brother who understands how deeply Arnav loves Khushi..but also knows that he at times struggles to express it, to acknowledge it!!
So this one is for Akash-bitwa!!š
Also I loved the way the mighty ASR who never takes help from anyone, who always knows what he has to do...today, politely and honestly asks his brother "I am not good with these situations, Main kya karun"?? And just like that I melted a little bit!!š³
In his mission,Dear Jalebis decide to help Arnavji...to manaofy an angry khushi...they are her best friend, after all!!š
In the room, he humorously tells her that he aped her, he did what she always does when she is upset!! Her disbelief turns to astonishment which turns to pure delight at the sight of the familiar sweets!! And just like that, she forgets that she is angry at him...She returns to her "Khushi-Avatar" and celebrates his birthday!!
Really a sweet scene, which reinforces the belief in me that special moments do not need extravaganza... they just need special people to share them with!!š
Liked the gradual RV, the kiss and the carrying-in-arms-to-bed scene š³..I so wished they could have shown some morning scene after this...it would have been great!!
Not much to write on the Chota-ASR part...except what I have already written above..I do not belive he is Arnav's kid...just some badi saazish that will see the parda-faash soon...
One thing, a kid as small as that one, can not learn to speak "What the"...Atleast not when he is NOT hearing it on a daily basis...If Arnav was living with him, he could have heard him saying this line and he could have picked it up as kids generally do...
But he is not living with Arnav..How come and from where will the kid even know something like this? For me, it looks like the mother is trying really hard for the kid to be "passed" as ASR's kid and she is teaching him all this!! I may be way off with this one, but at this minute, I feel this!!
Other very small things to ponder:
- I like Akash getting these many lines. AD is a good actor and I am glad he is getting a chance to showcase that.
- Akash finally gives the "million dollar" advice to Anjali.. "Miya Biwi ke beech ki baat hai, karne dijiye jo kar rahe hain bhai".. Oh Finally!!š
- Arnavji after struggling really hard, makes the dish that khushi can make in semi conscious state! Ab pata chala bacchu..š
- After Arnav blows the candle, Khushi wishes him "Happy birthday Arnav Singh Raizada"...š.. Why? a simple Arnavji would have done!!š
- What is the wish that he wished for while blowing the candle? I have many guesses but I want to know the right answer!!š
- I just like this pic very much...š

CV's, Please, I do not want to go the cliched way...Of seeing Arnav being the dad of some kid as a result of a previous, long forgotten alliance...Even if you are showing this, do this hatke please...as this show is like no other...And in the end, dont forget to free Arnav of all the "guilt"!!The day you show the kid as NOT his, I will sigh in relief!!
Love, Sumi
