hey guys today is Mahalaya..the first day of Navaratri but in bengal it's a Mahalaya..aj se start hota hai Devipakha n end hua Pitripakha..aj sab lok apne purbajo k liye Tarpan karte hai n aj Maa Durga ki murti ka Chokkhu Dan yani unki murti main eye draw karte hai...is forum main kahi sare Bengali members hai..so I wanna ask k kitno ne aj Mahishashurmardini suna aur kitni ne dekha?kya koi aj Kumartuli gaya hai Chokkhu Dan dekhne k liye?😉

Oh, well done, how did you manage that? On television or through internet? A lot of my childhood memories of being in Calcutta are associated with that rendering. . . .

Yep, managed to get up at 4. I had downloaded the whole thing so just listened it in my laptop. I stay in a hostel so there is no scope for radio or tv.

bengali actress ronita played the role of maa durga in this mahishashur mardini and she has done a outstanding job ...i hope cvs will potray sonarika's durga avatar as similar as ronita...
