URVASHI DHOLAKIA TV Actress
I got divorced at a very young age. I was just 19 then. When you break up under unpleasant circumstances, you are emotionally traumatised. The try, try and try till you succeed funda does not work everywhere. I was a very young mother with two children to support. There was a lot of financial insecurity, but that did not deter me. Bringing up my kids was my prime motivation, and that's what gave me the strength to move on. Initially I did not know what to do, so I went back to my parents in Mumbai. I realised there was no point in crying over spilt milk. I had to look after a family. I took the reins in my hand, and chartered a course for myself. Thankfully, work came by easily. It's been eight years now, and I have never ever looked back. My sons are nine now and seeing them around makes me feel that all those trials and tribulations were worth it. In spite everything, I'm not judgmental of men. I strongly believe that not all men are that disastrously bad.
