Rajan Shahi's daily soap on Star Plus, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will be completing 1000 episodes on October 12. Talking about the show's success, producer Rajan Shahi says, "Yeh Rishta... has been running successfully. The serial which portrays the simple relationship between Naitik, played by Karan Mehra and Akshara essayed by Hina Khan and their life after marriage still attracts audience because the serial has retained its freshness. Thousand episodes is a good milestone. The credit goes to the entire team and the channel's faith in the show."
Interestingly, the show's success has also prompted the channel to make it a six day affair, instead of the usual five days a week. "Whenever the channel asks us to give more episodes, we are happy to oblige. We will definitely try our best to retain the quality of the content. The show has a loyal audience, so it will be a good treat for them," says Shahi.
Recently, when the female protagonist, Hina Khan turned a year older on October 2, Shahi made arrangements on the sets to celebrate her birthday. Wonder what he's planning to surprise the cast and crew for the show's 1000 episode's success.
