When I first watched the episode I agree and even thought that Arnav should have defended his wife when Shyam was accusing her until i watched the episode a few times and while looking at arnav i realized he looked like he was in shock because anjali removed his hand and he might have thought that she was still going to stand up for shyam and when she was walking upstairs he was not really listening to shyam, only looking at Anjali and probably thinking that she still doesnt believe all this and was ready to give up. Khushi realized that arnav seemed out of it and she walked upstairs also thinking that Anjali was beginning to believe shyam and that is why she was trying to tell anjali not to believe him and what brought Arnav out of his shock or whatever he was in, was the slap Anjali gave Shyam. At that point is when u see a different expression on Arnav's face. From the time Anjali removed his hand till the slap he has one expression and although his eyes emit his emotions, he looks a little defeated and does not look like he is hearing Shyam. He feels that maybe he failed or something. Anyway, that is what i thought when i watched it a few times. I dont know if anyone else has the same feeling.
