Avyarima, do you believe that just because two people are married they should stay married by force even if they can't love each other or get along & one of them wants a divorce? According to this show, TVS thought his wife was dead, she suddenly sprang back to life during the time he was about to get engaged with Sughni. TVS is very angry & unhappy with his wife for various reasons, one of them being she is extremely controling & physically abusive to him. Do you think that he should stay with his extremely controlling wife who has a narcissistic tendencies, is so abusive to him, is very violent and about to murder him on each disagreement? Did you miss the part where she violently attacks him with a broken glass vase and he is dripping with blood from his head? She also hit him hard in the other house she was staying in and injured his head. (Can anyone blame him if does lose his mind eventually?)
I do not believe in a forced marriage or that anyone should remain in an abusive marriage.

I've been through this before but will say it again. Are you saying older men should not marry younger women? Age has nothing to do with love! 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Love has no age , no limit, no death.
Sughni is not a child, she is a grown woman and got engaged to him willingly. If TVS was such a pervert he could have had umpteen affairs with the bednis, prostitutes or other women. Nothing prevented him, knowing he was so rich.
I understand what you are trying to say, but I dont like that Sugni should agree with him just because he is not happy with his marriage.
he needs to deal with his marital issues first before going after Sugni, when he found out his wife is still alive, he should have told Sugni the truth and stay away from her until he is official over with his wife, before running after her.
By the way, i am married to an older man. 16 years difference for that matter. so i am not against finding love across age, gender, race, size, ...etc. my issue with that is the "married" part that you seems to not talk about.
VIKRAM IS MARRIED!!!!!!!
this means he is not allowed by God, culture, law, and society to pursue love outside.
Divorce is accepted, and i would divorce my husband too if we are no more happy being together.
FIRST VIKRAM SHOULD DIVORCE HIS WIFE without getting Sugni taking the guilt of being the reason. his approach to the issue was wrong that's why Sugni and his nephew are now stalk in a loveless engagement.
