thanks all, for your responses. i did not see that episode where archana talked to the police and when they said purvi's parents were also orphans. if archana made all attempts to find purvi's family, then she is 100% correct in keeping and raising purvi instead of just dumping her in some orphanage.
on the other hand, if she had not, then she wud also hv been wrong in keeping someone else's child depriving her from her real family. it was possible that someone (maybe maasi, bua) may have really loved the child a lot.
it was just a doubt, thanks all, for clarifying.
