Reality shows are just getting bigger. The competitors on Zee's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs might be kids, but if they happen to win the contest, they're gonna become lakhpatis! The show has just announced Rs 30 lakhs as prize money for winners of the L'il Champs contest.
The winner will get Rs 15 lakhs, the first runner up will get Rs 10 lakhs and the second runner up will get Rs 5 lakhs. The prize money will be deposited in an account that will be accessible to the winners only when they turn 18 years old.
"We are awarding this prize money to L'il Champs winners for their secure future. We want to encourage them to pursue music wholeheartedly and if they wish to pursue higher studies, they will be able to fund themselves,'' says Punit Goenka, Business Head Zee TV.
L'il Champs has been appreciated from all quarters, the recent feather in the cap was a letter congratulating the show and participants from former prime minister Mr Atal Behari Vajpayee. Talented youngsters from across the country have participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa before but L'il Champs is the first complete "kids season". Interestingly singers like Shreya Ghosal, Kunal Ganjawala have been participants in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa before finding their foothhold in the industry.
