Aarundhathi...she is a child...and you do not give in to every whim and fancy of a child..

But yes, parents do not do this willingly or happily...and yet this is a situation fraught with danger...that is what I was pointing to...

If it were her own.. or mine for that matter.. I could have forced the child to accompany.. I would probably.. whacked the kid on the back and pulled her along...

But what can you do during temporary custody?? Can you exercise the same right and force the child to come along? What if the child chooses to run away again?
In such a situation... won't you give in??

No Divya...I wouldn't...for the simple reason that my responsibilities are far greater...wouldn't you take extra care of your neighbour's kid when he or she is left in your custody...it is like that...and besides, they have assured the police that the child is their responsibility...so, there are legal consequences to be faced apart from everything else...so, it was a big mistake for sure on Nidhi's part...!

Forget this, what if the child had still run away...and the police actually found the parents...and brought them along to take custody of the child...what would have happened then?

i agree with you,so i gave first priority for my children.and this type of situation gave full freedom to the children,we are living in Gujarat, and often faced earthquick type situation,so we gave my both children training to lock the door insiede, bec my all neighbours are working people,in case if i went to somewhere for one or two hrs.And i know my children very well, and i trained them, but here Ashu and Nidhi unaware of khushi's behaviar and nature. And this type of situation may be they are facng first time.
