In Yesterday's episode emotional conversational between Sandhu n Ankur regarding importance of father made me think about significance of father in child's grooming. Till now I've praised women and moms a lot via poetry. I was doing lots of to pen down few lines to tribute father. Finally, I'm able to successfully penned down few lines...

Dear father, my very own father - But for you I would not have been;
Through your richest manifestation of love, You gave signifying to a lifeless theme.

You did all you could do for me, my mother and all my siblings;
You brooked much of life's wretchedness, To attain sure that gladden on us resiles.

You roleplayed like an actual he man, And cared for us at every footstep,
You didn't think about your soothe, Nor exhibit all the tears you sniffled.

You moiled for us day and night, And combated with ginormouss odds;
You did only what was correct, And barracked at all man-made gods.

You fertilized me with education, Nurtured my heart, mind and soul;
You injected the seeds of sapience and, Taught me benignity and true action.

You would not eat if I did not, You would not sleep if I didn't,
If even a scratch ever hurt me, You would always act to blot it out.

My well-being and my success, Were always your treasured dream,
And to make sure I grew up continuously, You forfeited much of your esteem.

Your love, how I miss it these days; Your care, how I wish it abides with me,
Enfolded in the thoughts of lovingness, And affection for now and eternally.

Dear father, how can I pay back, Your love which you evinced for me,
Can all my deeds ever equal, That which you did all over for me?

Waise, I'm big daddy's girl..Like Sandy's Dad, My father regulates the way I access life. I have acquired not only knowledge, but have executed his teachings to my life. For instance, He tells me that "The road leading up to success can be bitter, but its result is sweet." Because of the example he has set for me, my father has rendered the steppingstone I need to accomplish my goals so that I can boost a joyous and successful life. He gave me the best present anyone could give another person :- He believed in ME. ⭐️ .

At last, I wanna ask you all of you one ❓:- If you've to choose between to pursue your parents dreams or own dreams---Which one would you prefer n why?

Note
:- Idea to come up thread related to father given by my beloved little sistah "Shirin"..A big thanks to her from my end.

Lovely poem Ami Di, a fitting tribute to our father ⭐️ ⭐️ ❤️

I do feel that apart from teachers & mother, father do play an important role in our lives, in teaching us proper values, virtues and ethics. Fathers take the ultimate responsibility to make his child successful in whatever field they are. 😊

He is always there to encourage us & attain our goals, and when we are successful, he celebrates more than his child to see him/her reaching the peak of success. 😊

Thanks Ami DI for such a soul-touching poem, filled with beautiful words. You write amazingly well, with beautiful diction ⭐️ ⭐️ 😃

Regarding your question--> I would prefer to pursue my own dreams as I believe that if one has passion to achieve that dream, one will be surely achieving that, with proper dedication & a focused mind. (My parents have always supported my dreams & treated my dreams as their own)

As usual, some quotes

My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me.
~ Jim Valvano

A father is someone that holds your hand at the fair makes sure you do what your mother says holds back your hair when you are sick brushes that hair when it is tangled because mother is too busy lets you eat ice cream for breakfast but only when mother is away he walks you down the aisle and tells you everything gonna be OK.
~ Anonymous

One father is more than a hundred Schoolmasters.
~ George Herbert, Outlandish Proverbs, 1640

When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years.
~ Mark Twain

One night a father overheard his son pray:
Dear God, Make me the kind of man my Daddy is.
Later that night, the Father prayed,
Dear God, Make me the kind of man my son wants me to be.
~ Anonymous

A dad is someone who
wants to catch you before you fall
but instead picks you up,
brushes you off,
and lets you try again.

A dad is someone who
wants to keep you from making mistakes
but instead lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence
when you get hurt.

A dad is someone who
holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules,
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in you even when you fail...

Wah wah Amlu!
What a beautiful tribute to the fathers.👏 I guess there always been so many poems for mothers but in comparison to that very few for fathers.

The contribution of a father in his children's lives is endless...can't be described well in mere words.
But you somehow managed to do that tough task Amlu!👏
Such lines with such depth!
🤗

Dear father, how can I pay back, Your love which you evinced for me,
Can all my deeds ever equal, That which you did all over for me?

👏 👏 👏

And to answer your question, I would choose to pursue my parents dream.
Why? Is it really necessary to answer this😳...Because they are my parents...Anything for them.😊

aww Ami this is so beautiful...thanks for writing and sharing it here...
I'm also like sandya and you, a big daddy's girl. Can't comment much, at office but thanks for the post!
Edited:
I actually chose to pursue my own dream, not that I didnt want to listen to them but what to do, I was not interested and I don't think I was capable for it either (certainly, it was a difficult decision to make), but despite that they kept on supporting me and because of that my love for them has increased 1000 folds.
Your post made me so emotional, and now I'm planning to bring my parents out for a good dinner 😃

As usual you're completing my thread.👍🏼. It's good that you never encountered in between whose dream you should pursued. ⭐️.

@Ferrari
:- Double Post..😆..I agree with you it's difficult to write poem on father. I was even thinking to write how father look at daughter but unable to put myself in position of dad. As you know daddy hardly express their feelings so difficult to know..😔.. I appreciate your decision to go with your parents dreams. 👏 ⭐️ 👏.90% people will answer to question that they'll go ahead to pursue their own dreams. I was screwed up in my academic life.🤔.

@Niru-bee:- Eh! Glad to know that you're daddy's girl. Take your time. I'm here.😛

Amazing poem ami⭐️ Loved each and every word you wrote. Parents love for their children is the most selfless and pure thing. Their belief in us gives us the strength to achieve even the impossible. Thanks for writing such a beautiful post and poem😃❤️
Regarding your question I feel if my parents dream something for me, I will try my best to fulfill their dreams. Fulfilling their dreams will be more satisfying than my own❤️
