The above quote perfectly describes the situation that Pankhudi finds herself in.

She lied to Adi saying Shivam is her boyfriend to make him move on to Latika.

Now, because of that she finds she has to spend time with Shivam against her will to keep Adi from suspecting anything...she has declined his proposal but still finds herself unable to make a clean break because of Adi.

Also she is suffering form heartburn because Adi is actually quite cool with marrying Latika 😡
