TFS Tanu for your superfast update, your speed surprises me every single time. As usual I am quite late in posting! 😛 I liked the episode, for once we had a nice continuation from last week, they picked up where they left off with Ashni's private celebration. 👏
That cabin scene is a gem, love it! 😃 Right from the start where Nidhi wants Ashu to pinch her to the end today where she takes his hand and leads him out, the whole sequence was depicted very well. I am actually excited about this subtle shift in the character of Ashni as a couple. Until last week Ashni were always senior-junior at work, as Ashu simply did not not allow their professional relationship to overstep these limits. But since last week when Nidhi fed Ashu at lunch when it was their off time things have turned around for them. After his initial hesitation, Ashu accepted Nidhi's care for him and slowly he started reciprocating when he called all their close staff to share Nidhi's news about completion of her internship, then some private stolen moments of celebration, etc, etc...
All through this I felt that Ashu has shed his inhibition at work and has accepted the fact that just about everyone knows about their marital status and hence the subtle change in him. Actually he has started calling her only Nidhi even in front of everybody as opposed to Dr. Nidhi that he used to insist on calling. I also feel that now that Nidhi's talent, dedication, and willingness to go to any extent to save a patient, the hospital's and Ashu's reputation have been acknowledged by all, it has lessened Ashu's burden. Now he can openly help Nidhi, mentor and guide her and even be personal with her at work, and I am loving this change.
When Mallu was around, Ashu used to be the only one who used to call Mallu by name when everyone else called her Dr. Mallika, again this signified their close friendship. NOw Nidhi has slowly captured that position as Ashu has started called her by name, and I hope soon she will become Ashu's best friend and confidante at work, an enviable position that was previously awarded only to Mallu. Soon, I think we will see Nidhi will be the first junior doctor he will invite to a meeting and seek opinion from. Finally, Nidhi has managed to break into Ashu's inner circle at work, and , gained his admiration and respect. This along with their deep love should bring them closer to being equals in this relationship.
When Nidhi requested Ashu to come along, I loved how he followed her without really knowing their destination. The entire 'mannat' sequence was really cute, as both of them kept a mannat for each other. Finally as a couple we see them caring for each others well being, another first for them! When they revealed this to each other they were again sharing their innermost feelings and concern for each other. The Nidh shared her doubts about the new job and we saw Ashu the husband and mentor encourage her and boost her confidence. If Nidh still had any lingering doubts that Ashu did not support her career they should be laid to rest now. All his actions ending with his mannat scream of his support for her.
I also liked how Ashu took Nidhi to visit the Solankis, she did not even have to request it. Again another first, we can finally see Ashu getting involved with Nidhi's family matters. Maybe we will see a strong bond develop between CB and Ashu now. Once more he has shown with this gesture that he cared about Nidhi and was willing to be with her when her family was in trouble. I also like the change in Nidhi... she is now more mature and responsible. Just the way she kept apologizing to everyone for her absence even if she had a perfectly valid reason finally shows her involvement with her family. Another first! We always used to feel let down with her actions that were biased towards Ashu to the point of neglecting her family. Finally this new, loving, caring, daughter has made her appearance.
Finally, Khushi's entry. The suspense and build up is nice. If for a minute I forget that I am a member of this forum and eagerly follow all the SBS, SBB, etc updates, I think this suspense is great for a common man who has no idea of the entry of the girl. This girl definitely seems street smart, and a naughty brat at that... maybe Nidhi will start having some fun with her! I just hope the suspense ends tomorrow, dragging beyond that will get boring!
Finally, Ashuji is getting more romantic in his words and actions. I feel here the CVs are holding off on bedroom intimacy. I will give them the BOD considering that Ashu still has a sling and one arm is immovable. But just like after their wedding and HM, we had to wait till Ranji wedding and Ashu's birthday for their romance and passion to peak, I feel the romance and passion will be upped, but CVs first want some heart to heart between them. So when they actually show the intimacy it will become more meaningful.
Right now I do like this romance that depicts their love, affection, care, concern, pride and joy in each other achievements, with a body language that screams of their closeness. When they showed that subtle intimacy during the Ranji wedding, didn't we all feel that without actually having meaningful convos, all this intimacy was incomplete? And now when Ashni have started talking and sharing their thoughts, views and fears, we feel they should show intimacy and passion right now. I, for one am willing to wait a while if it will be more meaningful and deeper then... right now though I do not envy the makers and actors of this show... they are damned if they do show intimacy and passion and damned if they don't!!
