I have liked Khushi's mother's love for Khushi, but yesterday when she cried Kaha jarehiho meri Bachchi, I almost cried. She usually calls her Khushi, and her love is palpable but subtle. Another time was when they were leaving the Gupta house and she told Khushi, you are speaking a lot today. As if knowing something is wrong.
I think she has always known that Khushi is strong mentally and does not need her support, so did not refer to her as a child till now, neither did anyone else. But yesterday when in the midst of everything she was comforting her mother and saying that Arnavji will be coming any moment now, I looked at her face. As if she was shocked that Khushi is behaving like a child, and so she referred to her as her Bachchi who once more needs her.

Yes it also made me remember the love my Maasis had for me. I have my mother, and am the only daughter. As usual moms always favor their sons, so my mother had three sons to love and did not need a girl. I received all the love of a mother from my two aunts. They are the ones who stay in the hospital when I was sick leaving their own families behind. Once I was sick in my hostel and in a different city. My aunts took the bus to come and take me home, making an overnight journey. I was shocked because till that day I had not seen them going anywhere without someone.
