TB and Rangmnch-DKDM recreates Magic in Ganga

It was a big moment, as the city played host to the introduction of the character of Kartikeya of the teleserial serial Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev being telecast on Life OK. In an event organised on the banks of River Ganga at the Assi Ghat , the Lord Shiv and Parvati's son played by Rishi Raj emerged from the holy waters carrying a spear, amidst a lot of cheering.

Kartikeya who is yet to be introduced on screen ,seemed to enjoyed this moment of glory. "I can feel a lot of energy being here and I have even started thinking myself as the real Kartikeya ," says Rishi Raj who played young Chandragupa Maurya in the teleserial with the same title.

Rishi who is a student of class X was chosen among more than fifty applicants for the role. After the audition it was his energy and confidence which played decisive in him grabbing the role. The youngster is currently going an in house training in martial arts necessary for the role since he is supposed to be a great warrior who would slain Asur Tarkasur.

Singer and actor Manoj Tewari who was the special guest on the occasion provided the perfect musical accompaniment . "I am lucky to be present at the birth of son Lord Shiva and Parvati". and immediately he broke into a sohar ( folk song) sung at the time of a child's birth. This was followed by rendition of several devotional songs by the singer.
