UPDATE 28 AUGUST: Old wounds reopened

Armaan is getting ready to go to office. Jassi comes and straightens his tie. (I love these little wifely gestures!😳) Armu twinkles at her.

Jassi: Armaan, tum mujhse kuch chupa rahe ho!

Armu: Main…? Not at all, sweetheart! Tumhe aisa kyun lagta hai?

Jassi: (pouting) Kyunki tumne mujhe abhi tak nahin bataya, ki fashion show ki theme kya hai…

Armu: (hastily) Jassi, mujhe der ho rahi hai….bye…! (grabs his bag and tries to rush out, but Jassi grabs his hand from behind.)

Jassi: Armaan Suri, yeh sab kya hai….mujhe batao toh sahi!

Armu: Jassi, it's a surprise….ab toh yeh tumhe show ke din hi pata chalega! (plants a kiss on her cheek😳 and speeds out, leaving behind a bemused and blushing Jassi.)

Hectic preparations are underway in GM for the fashion show. Maddy is going mad with the trials. In between, Raj sneaks in and requests him to have a look at Neha's presentation. Maddy is in no mood but Raj, turning on all his charm,😉 persuades him to sit down while he shows him the presentation on his laptop.

Maddy sits restlessly as the slides display, but gradually calms down and watches attentively. Jaggy, killing time as usual, saunters over to watch. Raj gives him a "what are you doing here" look, much to his annoyance; he moves away a bit to ogle at the models.😕

By the end of the presentation, Maddy has gotten a wee bit emotional.

Maddy: Kisne banayi hai yeh presentation, kisne……??

Raj: (warily) Tum yeh batao….tumhe yeh kaisi lagi? Is it alright?

Maddy: Alright? Alright? I love it! It is simply beautiful! (sniffling a bit) Aww…..is presentation ko dekh ke ehsaas hota hai ki maa banna kitna….kitna moving experience hai…..mera toh mann kar raha hai, ki kaash main bhi kissi ke babies bana sakta….!😉

He gives a meaningful glance to Jaggy, who looks as if he has just swallowed Pari's long-wear lipstick.😆 He slinks away while Raj suppresses a smile.

Puru enters Meghna's room, to find her reciting some aboriginal chant.😕 Taken aback, he apologises, "Oh…I'm sorry beta….lagta hai main tumhe disturb kiya…."

Meghna: Arre nahin uncle…please sit down….

Puru sits down next to her and looks affectionately at her.

Puru: kaisa lag raha hai ghar aake, beta?

Meg: (looking down) Achcha lag raha hai, uncle….especially Vedika….I love her! Mann karta hai ki wo saara time mere paas rahe….lekin….Armaan aur Jassi mujhe uske saath zyada time spend karne nahin dete…!

Puru: Aisa nahin hai Meghna….umhe tumhare aur Vedika ke saath rehne se koi problem nahin hai….lekin wo uske parents hai…unhe Vedika ka khayal toh rakhna hai na..?

Meg: (indignantly) Uncle, jab Armaan aur jassi, Aryan ki death ke liye responsible hai, toh unhe Aryan ki beti ke upar kya haq hai?

Puru looks serious. "Tumhe poori kahaani nahin pata…..i think ab hame saari baatein clear kar leni chahiye..!"

He goes on to relate all that happened in GM and in their lives over the last few years—Armaan's falling in love with Jassi, the crisis in GM, the Jessica Bedi case, JandA's cancelled wedding and Armaan's marriage with Mallika; JandA's reunion and Mallika's hatred for Jassi; the final confrontation, leading to Mallika's death; Vidhi's entry (sorry guys, she had to be shown for a few seconds) and Aryan's claim over Vedika; the tug-of-war that followed, leading to Aryan's death.

Meghna listens in a daze. She stammers when Puru has finished speaking, "Lekin…..yeh kaise ho sakta hai? Meri sis Mollie….wo toh itni proud, itni elegant thi…wo yeh sab kaise kar sakti hai….aur mera chhotu…? Uncle, are you sure ki yeh sab sach hai? Kahin Jassi ne jhooth…."

Puru: (sadly) Nahin beta…..kaash yeh sab jhooth hota….par shaayad, Mallika pyaar aur zid mein farak karna nahin jaan saki….usse Armaan ko pane ki zid thi, aur Aryan ko Gulmohur ki…..aur yeh zid, kab un dono ko humse door le gayi, pata hi nahin chala……

Meghna is sitting like a statue. Puru gently runs his hand over her head. "I know, beta……tumhare liye yeh sab sunna, bahut painful hai….par sach ka saamna kabhi na kabhi toh karna padta hai…main bas yahi kahunga, ki sab jaane ke baad, pichli kadvi yaadon ko bhool jao, aur sirf achche pal yaad rakho….aur aage badho……"

He tactfully leaves the room, leaving Meghna to struggle with her emotions.

Tomorrow: Raj gives Neha another reponsibility.
