Just now the thread of the Fab Performance has again been closed.
It makes me very sad, that such drastic steps have been taken, even though I understand the point of view of our mods!
On the whole I don't see too much bad language in that thread and elsewhere in our forum also sometimes similar language can be seen.
Personally I have never felt offended when visiting this thread, I very much enjoyed the discussions, even when I hardly ever took part myself. The "Fab. Performance"-thread is a vital part of our forum and it will desperately be missed, but ofcourse the rules must be followed here too.
I understand that the bad language in itself was not the reason for closing the thread, but the reaction of the "thread-members" on the warning of the mods - starting a heated discussion in return - was the actual reason.
Our mods are our referees - we do need them! Nobody protested, I believe, when those were banned, who posed to be Prachi etc.. It's necessary to be respectful to the mods, if only because their job is not easy at all, I guess.
Guys, can't this be solved in an other way?
Both parties should, again, give way a little!
After all last time when it went wrong (few weeks ago), I feel that the Awesome Foursome plus some others, really made changes: they became much more welcoming and open to other members joining their discussion!
Please Fab. Performance-members perhaps you can make it up with the mods, if you've been too harsh and please mods: after some reconciliation allow the thread back on, many will miss these pages!
I hope not to have offended any one with this post and really ask both parties to act wisely and broadminded.
Thanks, if this might lead somewhere......
