If gangnam style and kolaveri and Gotye can determine their popularity by their you tube views collectively, then tv serials should also start this as the measure.Just now the annoying reply a forum member got from an sms number actually is a pointer towards how tables can be turned in terms of TRP.After all online viewers are global and trp viewers are only limited .

u have a great point. but sadly LOGIC does nt work here...!!

TRP is considered the only way of measuring popularity. that is only tv viewing is taken into a/c .

youtube views, video downloads, vms, siggies etc etc are not considered so important

Well its time for a change, a time for revolution then, aaj humaara show axe hua hai, actors upset, fans upset, kal koi aur deserving show axe hoga, phir bagaavat hogi, aisey hi toh change laaya jaa sakta hai..boond boond se banega saagar.How long are they going to stick to the archaic method of TRP measuring and alter scripts wrongly, it isn't even popular taste.It isn't even right. 😆 till then sadly NBT is bali ka bakra

If online voting is allowed for some reality shows, then why not online viewership taken into account for measuring TRP's .?

You are absolutely right. Those with no access to television will OBVIOUSLY watch shows online which is such a convenient mode. I feel they should also take repeat telecasts into account. Every damn possibility should be regarded or else death beckons all good shows 🤢

True popularity can be measure by so many tjings why stick to just one way😆

Overseas viewers & their likes should also be taken into account...don't they pay to subscribe for colors channel...

So many times even ppl in India, job padhai, difficult to see it at that time, agle din jaldi class hoti hai , ya ghar hi nahi pohonch paatey time tak, ya light goes, so many SO MANY end up seeing it only , thats the whole point of you tube 😆
