These are my thoughts on the episode of Yash's and Arti's confrontation.(updated on page 3 too)

We have sinned Yash says. What is original sin then? Should it not be that he got married? Original sin reminds me of a complex problem of the root cause of displacing blame! Yash forbid himself to touch Arti in any romantic or the way man desires her as a husband. You shall not eat from the forbidden fruit and Aman here is like the snake that put the apple infront of Yash according to him! But Yash has he forgotten that he too should take the blame for whatever transgression they had done.

But Arti is also correct in throwing it in his face that what happened is not a sin. They are married so it is her right to demand what she wants. A marriage is supposed to be 50/50 compromise, I feel. It should not stack heavily in one persons favour.

It almost felt like that Arti's underlying question was what about this child when she asked what is the reason behind this marriage then is. Yash answer that it should end was like an arrow to her heart, but she knows that she has to be stronger to fight her cause. She has been beaten enough by life.

Yash's last words that he does not love living reminded me that he has closed his heart to love! It seems he has closed his heart to all types of love not just romantic love. The love towards his children towards his parents just because of his obsessive nature to be a part of Arpita's world wherever she may inhabit, according to him!

It was heart breaking to watch him crumble and shout at the same time at Arti! I felt almost pain in my heart at some of the words he hurled at Arti.

It is a painful exercise Yash is carrying out! Not just boxing! Being hurt, then loving, then feeling disappointed, then feeling as if he has been duped by a master plan of Arti's doing!

He now wants to be reunited to Arpita by a death match of sorts while boxing! What guarantee does he have that he will be reunited with Arpita? This is the first time I'm seeing the male lead of a show not asking his gods to show him the way rather he is trying to connect with Arpita in the spiritual world himself or something like that I feel. The other question still holds: is he sure that Arpita is his soul mate and not Arti?

Why must the woman suffer asks Arti? Why must woman try to maintain the balance of the relationship asks Arti? These are the underlying questions which seemed to confront Arti and she ask as much from Shobha ! Her answer is as much as a riddle. It's like she is saying don't be the problem be the solution to the problem!

But a more pertinent question is the children asking why they are not seeing their dad. Has he forgotten about them? That answer to that question seems to be a hurt breaking resounding YES at the moment!

Vidhi and Pankaj expounded on the points of views of Yash and Arti and Bua landed in the middle of it. It seemed like teams are being formed for a greater battle that is about to come not far in the future!

EDIT: I do not want to think of the predicting the future of episodes to come but I too have a feeling that Arti's truth is about to come through her frustration. Maybe it is time she silenced everyone with her truth but things need to go to a high point for her to do it , I feel.

I missed yesterdays episode s my husband suddenly wanted to take me to Barfi yesterday itself inspite of today being a working day but read your updates to know what happened yesterday in the episode.

The whole world outside rakes of negativism on PV so am cocooned here reading all your posts. Samana liked your take on the episode about this going towards the divorce truth. Jyothi, Zetter, Borna and all nice takes am happy to be part of this Dragon thread.

Loved all the takes so far - Kirthi, Borna, Angel, and everyone else.

@Kirthi - I agree with you about how we can't seem to despise Yash despite him having been wrong and having broken Aarti's heart. I guess because we at the DC don't take things at face value and see that there's more to him than just the surface appearance. My initial reaction to Yash was all 😡, but after I took a moment to calm down, I saw how broken and battered he is on the inside. And yup, Gurmeet's wonderful portrayal of Yash combined with the fantastic script and direction has us rooting for Yash. It's been so long since I've actually come across a different type of hero and not the standard heroes evoked in many shows - usually one dimensional guys whose main purpose is to look good and support the heroine. And I also love how this story isn't just centered on Aarti, but also Yash and all those in connection to them. Everyone has a story of their own and the writers know how to balance that out. Other shows on Zee are suffering because they lose sight of their USP and neglect their characters and I'm glad that Punar Vivah is doing a great job in terms of character development and progression of story.

@Borna - I hear you girl! I also feel that fate had a hand in bringing Kratika and Gurmeet together for this show! They are so fantastic together and in their individual scenes and I love how they're not OTT with their acting. Even when they have scenes where the drama quotient is high and there's shouting involved (like Yash shouting at Aarti today) it never seems OTT. I also love how they seem to play off each other in their scenes together. These two are so dynamic together!

Can someone tell me what exactly is happening on the 22nd according to the promo? Is this a joint episode with Pavitra Rishta like a mahasangam or a one hour mahaepisode? If it's a mahasangam, then I'm prepared for the worst because those things are pointless nonsense and especially if it's in connection to Pavitra Rishta which will no doubt take up a large chunk of the time.

Now we are talking.

I was completely disengaged with PV last week. The pregnancy revelation and the consummation were fine, but I was mostly disengaged with the story-telling. Perhaps, I still am. The most ridiculous of all was the utilization of Aarti's scattered brains and memories to build and carry the entire suspense, and then resorting to the over-use of photo albums and images to fill gaps left by sloppy thinking. Which, unfortunately opened a few more gaps smaller though they may be that which we are supposed to ignore and forget like Aarti does but without the help of the Bhaang. Tough!

The CVs realized that SLR camera can only do so much when they smoothly (meaning just like that) switched to a digital camera and then subsequently realized the functionalities of a mobile but went a step further. But didn't someone tell them that mobile doesn't mean it will move around on its own. It is called mobile because one can carry it around. Ha, Ha. I'm allowed this shot since they didn't specify if the consummation scenes were recorded a-la Ragini MMS or should it be Aarti MMS? As I had listed out in another thread, like the bridge and the rain, photographs/images should also be a character in this show.

Anyway, dare I ask why Aarti didn't feel/think/suspect something was amiss the morning after? I'd presume that her clothes were askew. Her blouse certainly might have been.😉 Or would the CVs have me believe that Yash cleaned up the 'crime' scene? And didn't Aarti sense the endorphins swimming in her bloodstream and other physical evidence that can give away the crime?

I felt that the CVs over-thought this entire Mumbai segment and annoyed the hell out of me.

But now we are talking.

Yesterday's confrontation was something that I have wanted for a long time and thought that's how it would go.

Yash in his place is right. Aarti's efforts in Mumbai didn't sit well with me either as most of you know, even though I don't doubt her sincerity. She just rushed herself and Yash. And Aarti despite knowing what Yash wanted allowed herself to listen to folks who sort of justified her own hidden desires. She wanted to love Yash openly and have it reciprocated. Left to herself, she might have respected Yash's boundaries, but with the support of her family, friend, and Yash's family, she felt completely justified in her actions. And it was clear that Aarti was the proactive leader in this whole enterprise and Yash had noted it all. But, he trusted her thinking that she was just being friendly. It was only the final act of consummation that made him realize how far away from Arpita he had come and how far along with Aarti he was able to go. And it was not as difficult as he thought in fact, it was too easy. And that's what surprises and shocks him the most. And yes, how could he face Arpita now or in the netherworld after this. I liked his justification of his tossing Arpita's photos.

Yash's sense of betrayal is understandable including his accusations. His blaming Aarti entirely for his actions, especially the bit about Aarti calling Aman to do the Bhaang binge and then seduce him, even if we know it to be false is an easy conclusion for Yash to arrive given Aarti's past actions. And Aarti because of the big lie has never set him right, even when he hints about her past and makes assumptions for the both of them. One may think that Yash took the lead in the consummation, but he was under the influence as well (even though to me both seemed quite lucid during the raindrop play, but that's just me). But I don't feel angry with Yash at all. In fact, he's right. Aarti did set it up for consummation to occur in these circumstances. By which I don't mean that Yash is right in his accusations of Aarti plotting, but I mean that she had actively weakened his defenses during the Mumbai trip- which is Yash's primary accusation. If Yash is guilty of anything, it is not acknowledging that he's living in an illusion that's doesn't seem real even to him. But we know the point of all this. He is to feel GUILTY (caps and bold) at the treatment he's meting out to Aarti later on. But in my opinion, if Yash is to feel guilty about his behavior, Aarti needs to feel guilty for her actions as well. Yash took a stance of remaining true to his wife, he communicated the same to Aarti repeatedly, and he implicitly sought her support in this matter. Aarti agreed to it but changed the game albeit subconsciously, when she fell in love. Love happens and Aarti's love was sincere and her actions were based on her naivete (or so some think). Her desire for Yash's love did overcome Yash's desires and she went all out. Which is all fine, but I do want Aarti to introspect and ask herself why she chose to disregard Yash's words and basically manipulate him to behave differently. Why did she treat Yash like a child who needed to be coaxed and cajoled to eat paalak and as someone who didn't know what was good for him? Why couldn't she talk to him as an adult (now as an adult she has suddenly realized her maan, abhimaan, maryaada and what not)? Why she didn't catch the signs that he's still not ready to move on? Why could she have not taken it slow? I understand this is quintessentially Aarti behavior, but my point is that going forward just as Yash needs to introspect, Aarti needs to as well and I want her to feel some guilt too. I don't want her to conveniently sit on the high horse now that she's pregnant.

I was grateful to see Aarti's reactions during the confrontation and after. No tears! Thank you, milady! In fact, I thought her reactions were such because she couldn't refute him. Yes, he did say that he didn't want a normal relationship, twice in fact, to which she voiced no objections. She didn't correct him his assumptions about her past. Yes, she did try to seduce him throughout, even if she refuses to admit it. Here, Aarti stands false and Yash true. But Aarti certainly didn't opt for the Bhaang way, nor would she have wanted it that way. And here Aarti stands true and Yash false.

Can someone please get rid of Shobha like they did G3?

Episode One-Line Review: Reasonable.

Today's episode was a good one with the much awaited confrontation scene between Yash and Aarti taking place in the locker room with Pratik hearing their entire conversation as he is standing outside.

Yash is upset because he cannot seem to figure out Aarti as there is a certain air of mystery surrounding her with respect to her past. In Mumbai, he considered her a friend even though he never vocalised it and so he is upset thinking that she used that friendship to get closer to him. In Mumbai he trusted her and opened up to her by letting her into his memories of Arpita but never once did she open up and share her past and therefore he assumed that she was madly in love with her first husband the way he was with Arpita. He even overlooked her I love you joke when in reality she had somehow ended up falling for him. As a result of this mystery, he then assumes that everything that happened in Mumbai was according to a plan when in fact it happened naturally. He also assumes that it was part of Aarti's plan to bring in her friend Aman so that they could both get him intoxicated so that he could get closer to her.

Another reason why Yash is so upset is the fact that he feels guilty for betraying Arpita. He never thought that any other woman could make him feel the way Arpita did but somehow Aarti managed to be just being herself and so on his own accord he came closer to her. He has always stated that he got married for the sake of his kids but somehow things changed but he is unwilling to accept it. It is because of that guilt he has distanced himself from Arpita as he cannot seem to face her and so he thinks that punishing himself will allow him to repent and face her in their next life.

During this whole confrontation scene, I really admired Aarti's courage for standing there silently and taking all the accusations hurled her way as somehow she has realised that at least Yash is bringing out all that he has been bottling up inside for the past few days. Yash is not the type to speak out when things are bothering him and so I think Aarti really is important to him because he admits what has upset him and even while speaking to her, there are instances where his expressions seems to soften even if it is just for a second before he goes back on angry mode.

I also admired the fact that she was brave enough to ask about their future and the manner in which the scene was done. Yash walks away as usual and she calls out to him. Normally, he would have continued walking but despite all his efforts getting her out of his life, he stays put just to give her a chance to have her say. Yash clearly states that that there is not future to their relationship. What I really liked here was the fact that the CVs did not pull out the confession that she is pregnant so that Yash on his own can feel guilty and repent rather than just repent through the easy way of doing his duty.

Once Yash walks out, Prathik, rather than going after him, heads straight to Aarti's side and asks if she is ok and offers to take her home. She however, refuses telling him that she is a woman who can fight her own battles and so he should go check on Yash. Yash is then seen making arrangements to take part in a dangerous fight and despite warnings from his coach; he insists that he will fight as life is for those who have love. After witnessing his brother and sister in law's confrontation, Pratik makes it his mission to get them back together.

At home, Vidhi and Pankaj are discussing the situation where Pankaj does not actually blame Aarti for all that has happened. Instead he realises that it is a sensitive matter as Yash feels that he has betrayed Arpita and hence his reaction. Bua, who happens to be passing by the room hears their conversation and barges in to give her two cents on Aarti's character saying that she really only got married to fulfil her needs. Vidhi however strongly defends Aarti by saying that she really is in love with Yash. Bua however says that she will only believe it if Aarti can bring back their old Yash. A confident Vidhi surprises Pankaj by saying that she has full faith that Aarti will rise to the test placed in front of her.

At the Dubey's Aarti questions Shobha as to why women are always the ones that are tested and meant to compromise in situations. Shobha for once cannot give a proper answer and so tells Aarti that she should trust in the power of the mungalsutra that was given to her by Yash. The kids even come to ask for their father and Shobha explains that their parents are still not friends and if they wish, they can go meet him. She then takes this opportunity to advise Aarti to get it out of Yash's head that they have committed a sin.

Looking forward to tomorrow's episode and my apologies for the jumbled thoughts.
