Sneha - the most underrated?

I just watched Rithvik and Sneha's performance from this Saturday's episode on the song Breathless and I had been wondering about this before as well after seeing a few of their recent performances that Sneha is by far the most underrated choreographer on JDJ5.

That girl is an amazing dancer - not just in her forte Salsa but in other dance forms too. And her choreography is one of a kind as well. It might not be jaw dropping like Salman's Horror choreography or Deepak's Alien act or Punit's Robotic one but she is no less than any other on JDJ5 - I tend to remember her choreographies - almost all except for the Aerial one because I don't like Aerial acts, in general.

Her expressions are good - people say Rashmi's expressions are really good but Sneha is a tad bit better than her, I think. And from all the female choreographers on JDJ5 Sneha is the best. Shampa is good but she Sneha, I feel, has that x-factor which makes her performances a bit more enjoyable [talking about their dancing alone not their celeb partners].

Why wasn't she here from the beginning😕? I am gonna miss her performances when JDJ5 ends😳. I was really glad when Deepak came back but Sneha should have been there from the first episode.

p.s. this post is in no way trying to belittle Salman, Deepak, Punit or Rashmi's talent or anyone else on JDJ5 but I am just giving a comparison with regards to expressions and in terms of choreography alone.

True. I had earlier seen Sneha in DID and she was amazing, I loved her Salsa.
But initially I was a little skeptical about her skills as a choreographer as I thought she was good only with latin dance styles. Also I got to know from the forum that she was in the earlier season of Jhalak too with a boxer celebrity(sorry dont remeber his name), but as he couldn't perform well they were eliminated quite early.
I'm glad this time she got a wonderful chance to showcase her talents. I simply love the steps she and Rithvik perform. Their performances stay with you even after its over and I really hope she reaches the final (fingers crossed). Great work Sneha, keep it up.

I didn't watch DID but have recently watched a few performances to see these choreographer's earlier works.

I was a bit skeptical about Sneha's choreography in other dance forms because I had read on the web that she is trained in Latin and I was afraid that that-latin-feel might come into her other performances but I haven't seen anything like that so far.

That's why I said that she seems the most underrated to me. She is an amazing dancer. Her steps are clean and sharp where they need to be and the difficulty level is high too. Makes her performances a treat to watch:)

p.s. does anyone think any other choreographer is more underrated than Sneha or isn't as appreciated as they should be? I would like to know their opinions too😳

YEP YEP YEP --- @@

And i feel sorry for SHAMPA ---- she is also one of the MOST talented choreographers on the SHOW ----I like her concepts and she DANCES so well --- unfortunately she has to train the graceful movements to a ROBOT _ ( Mr. STIFF) . Yeah so other than SNEHA, i like SHAMPA ----- Shampa can do justice to any form of DANCE _--she rocked in that hip-hop act with Mr.ROBOT-

Aji, fab post, I wasn't going to watch Saturday's performances. But couldn't sleep and ended up watching it. And I am so glad to have not missed their act. I thought most of the Saturday performances were so much better than Sunday's.

Anyways, after watching their act, I wanted to create a topic just for Rithvik and Sneha. So I am glad to have found one open.

Their breathless performance was out standing. I can finally connect to their act. I know they both are wonderful dancers, but I somehow couldn't connect with their performances. But there was just something about this performance, which impressed me to no extend. First of all, agreed completely, Sneha's expressions are amazing compared to many choreographers, I even found her expressions in the aerial act very beautiful. I loved her choreography for breathless, very difficult and they executed brilliantly. Finally Rithvik's energy was used in the right act. Watching them both perform away with such ease and co ordination was a treat to our eyes. I can keep going on and on about their act and it is worth all the appreciation. I also love how they complement each other. Their chemistry and comfort reminds me that of Isha and Salman.

So I think she's the cutest little choreographer who comes on the stage and puts the stage on fire with her dancing and choreography.

P.S: I also agree with Godfather, Shampa's concept and choreography are worth a applaud as well. Salman, Deepak and Sneha are just lucky to have partners who can execute their concepts brilliantly. I am sure if such partners are given to other choreographers, their real talent can just as easily come out on the stage.

@GODFATHER: I would have LOVED to 'Like' your comment but it had an indriect dig at Gurmeet so I can't do that (I just prefer people say the real-names instead of giving-names). Sorry.

But I agree with the rest of your and Chandramukhi's (I still don't know your name) post about Shampa.

I just finished watching Sunday's performances (haven't watched Shampa-Gurmeet and Rashmi-Deepak's Saturday's performances yet) and I LOVED Shampa's choreography to bits. I hope, after that fall, she is alright. She literlly turned around on her head/neck. I just hope she is fine.

Back to Shampa's dance and choreography - it was mindblowing. I'd have to agree with Karan and I think I have stated this before somewhere too that Gurmeet is good in those performances which are character based or emotions based. He was good in this one too and his stiffness was sort of less prominent in their Contemporary act.

Kudos to Shampa - it was plain, it was simple, it was new (in terms of concept of estranged couples), it had the most amazing use of back-dancers and it was very well done. Superb👏.

I have liked Shampa's other choreographies in the past but Sneha, today, it feels like I noticed her dancing only today.

In the end, I might not have become a fan of any particular celebrity on JDJ5 (even after watching their dances) but I know I'll remember the choreographers and might watch JDJ6 only for them.

No worries, Main Hoon Na😛

And the respect they have for each others talent shows through their acts as well. I am not saying other celebs and choreos don't respect each other but just saying that it's more visible in Sneha-Rithvik and Isha-Salman. Perhaps that's because Rithvik and Isha, themselves, are great dancers so they know the 'tricks' (if that makes any sense) of being a good dancing-partner. But I LOVE their comfort-level and the trust they have in each other. Some of the lifts Sneha and Isha perform require a lot of trust on their choreos and Rithvik and Salman are amazing in that sense.

Also, agreed, if others had such good dancing partners like Salman and Rithvik we'd get to see more amazing stuff on JDJ5 stage.

It's just that I only noticed Sneha's dancing today (before, I'd only look at Rithvik and glance at Sneha here and there) and I was shocked that I hadn't noticed her before.

agreed😛 She is really cute and her dancing is just outstanding.

I just finished watching Sunday's performances (haven't watched Shampa-Gurmeet and Rashmi-Deepak's Saturday's performances yet You should, I liked Deepak's choreography and the act full of dancing, Rashmi was as usual graceful and her postures/dancing was quite flawless to me) and I LOVED Shampa's choreography to bits. I hope, after that fall, she is alright. She literlly turned around on her head/neck. I just hope she is fine. I was scared to see her fall like that on the neck, I am glad she was OK. With such falls, many things can go wrong. I don't wanna think about it. But it was a relief to see her on her feet.

Back to Shampa's dance and choreography - it was mindblowing. He was good in this one too and his stiffness was sort of less prominent in their Contemporary act. I agree whenever Shampa masks GC's stiffness, their acts turn out very good, can be seen in any of their perfect 30 performances. She actually has a tough cookie to crack this season, so I appreciate her choreography more when ever their acts turn out beautiful.

Kudos to Shampa - it was plain, it was simple, it was new (in terms of concept of estranged couples), it had the most amazing use of back-dancers and it was very well done. Superb👏. Loved the last bit of the performance, awesome concept and vision.

I have liked Shampa's other choreographies in the past but Sneha, today, it feels like I noticed her dancing only today. I don't about dancing, I thought she is a very good dancer, but today I finally connected with their act that I was disappointed for it to end.

In the end, I might not have become a fan of any particular celebrity on JDJ5 (even after watching their dances) but I know I'll remember the choreographers and might watch JDJ6 only for them. I agree, some acts and concepts will be etched in our brain with certainty.
