Hotel Kingston
STARRY STARRY NIGHT
One knows what to expect from an awards night. Stellar performances, an array of glamourous folks and basically a lot of fun. It may have been a fictitious awards night for the small screen, but the outcome of the shooting of Hotel Kingston was nothing short of a real awards night. The premise was canning a star-studded Television Awards Night that takes place at the Hotel Kingston. There were Sanober Kabir, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rakshanda Khan, the talented Moulli Ganguly, the cute Hussain and Mihir Mishra who came as the stars attending and nominated for the awards.
DANCING DOLLS
The star attractions were Sanober Kabir and Sunidi Chauhan. The lively Sanober was patience personified, as she entered the studios in time and waited for the lighting to be fixed up, since it was the first day of the shoot. She hung around rehearsing, without cribbing. The sexy siren plays herself and was soon rehearsing for her songs Meri Beri Ke Ber and Kaan Mein Jhumka. She was heard gushing, "This is like doing a live show, as I am presenting my item number for the audiences. I am so excited!" At the same time, there was Sunidhi Chauhan, who went into her make-up room and kept to herself most of the time, while her business manager took care of what she had to do, what she was going to wear and perform on. The junior artistes rehearsed sans the lady, as she stayed back in her van all the time. But as soon as she stepped on the stage, she got the shot right in three takes! She told the makers, "Just put me in front of the camera and I will do the rest. I am more of a spontaneous and on-thespot performer." She performed on her hit Deedar de from Dus and Kaisa Jadu Daala Re from Khaki.
ACTING ACTING
Rakshanda Khan plays Naina, a TV superstar vying for the Best Actress Award at the function, who's determined to win no matter what. The actor was an epitome of sweetness and fun to be with, as she got along very well with the lead actors of the show Amit Verma (Vish) and Sonal Sehgal (Shelly). The threesome were caught chatting and having a good time while the shot was not being canned. Also present was Mihir Mishra, who plays a TV actor Aryan. He was rather upbeat about the role he is playing and said excitedly, "It is so nice to be a part of the awards night; it is a concept not done on TV before and I am glad I am a part of it!" It seemed like all in a family business as everyone chatted with everyone else and had a great time from the time they entered to when they left.
