Tonight's episode was a carryover from the Special episode featuring the Grand Party thrown by RK , with the intent to further insult and degrade Madhu as a revenge of sorts for publicly defying him on the sets and at home . As I'd mentioned before, RK's words and actions are getting bolder and more insinuating than before, indicating that he has started to feel something close to lustful passion for his beautiful wife. "Lust is to the other passions what the nervous fluid is to life; it supports them all, lends strength to them all ambition, cruelty, avarice, revenge, are all founded on lust." Marquis de Sade
So I guess the more RK wants Madhu, the more cruel and sadistic are his methods of revenge , which he thinks will act as a deterrent to keep him from getting emotionally attached to Madhu. RK's act of blackmailing Madhu to attend the party and forcing her to serve drinks to the guests along with the waiters (albeit in a unique dance step) and then dancing intimately with her , finishing off with his announcement of kissing her publicly but ultimately deferring, were all aimed to hurt and humiliate Madhu-------- little does RK know that slowly but surely his hatred is metamorphosing into something much more complicated than revenge.
"Hatred is blind, anger is foolhardy, and he who pours out vengeance risks having to drink a bitter draft" ( Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo)------the bitter draft of swallowing his own words and actions and falling for Madhu. I liked the fact that RK's mum apologized to Madhu and promised her that RK would eat his words and apologize to Madhu for this affront soon. The precap was promising , and it seems that Madhu's MIL will show RK his true self and what a beast he's become , reminding him about his beloved dad, which will be interesting viewing .
Coming back to the party and protagonists themselves, Vivian was looking every bit the hero and superstar in all black. I liked the fact that Drashti was clad in a black saree as well , symbolizing the darkness in both Rishbala's lives, the touches of red representing the hidden passion within them. The dance itself was sizzling with a great song choice, and we could feel the sexual tension between Rishbala , which neither of them would be ready to acknowledge at this point. But I must protest that due to inappropriate lighting and camera angles yesterday, justice wasn't done to enhance Drashti's stunning looks, svelte figure and above all Madhu's dramatic entry. I say this because I have witnessed how glamorous and gorgeous some actresses can look sometimes just due to the right make-up, camera angles and lighting. I feel that the DOPs have much contribution in enhancing the mood and setting for the stars and the situations , which enrich the show further. I was very happy with the creative team's attention to detail in showing a live band and singer in sync and suited to a person of RK's stature . I'm at a loss to understand how the supposed " elite" of the city could be silent bystanders to a blatant injustice with an innocent gal-----forced to serve drinks like a waitress. I guess no one wanted to rattle the great "Superstar" RK and risk being dropped from the page 3 guest list. It just goes to show the state of our present "high society" where people choose to ignore many injustices for selfish motives. Otherwise a well paced and satisfying special episode with the right blend of comedy , drama and entertainment.
