@Sam - I finally found your post that had your take on today's episode. I have to say mindblowing.. You outdo yourself everytime 😃. I loved everything about your analysis and especially loved the part where you were equating the sand getting emptied out of the punching bag to the whirlwind of emotions that Yash is going through. Brilliant!!
You know I have always thought that Prashanth has taken after Dubey but the way you put it I totally get it. Both Shobha and Dubey were equally responsible for raising Prashanth. We see a loving mother in Shobha for Arti but what kind of mother was she to Prashanth. You know with Arti, Shobha always gets her way one way or the other and Arti has never gone against Shobha or Dubey for that matter but Prashanth might not have easily given into Shobha's way of thinking or her suggestions. It could be because Arti being an orphan might have been glad to have found a mother/father in her in-laws.
Also Shobha does not look like a person who likes confrontation and so I am assuming that Prashanth might have grown apart from her simply because he couldn't be the ideal son that Shobha might have wanted him to be.

@Gemmy, welcome to DC. 😃 Yash is probably one of the most complex character I have come across on TV in a long long time. Thanks for the explanation.

Samana, that was one of your finest takes yet! I love how you tackled every angle of the episode and all the characters that featured in it! Your words about Shobha was spot one, she wants to leave in an ideal world where there are no confrontations or betrayals and it is that strive for perfection that skews her rationality most of the time! She needs to learn that confrontations are a necessary ingredient to a successful relationship, that being avoiding or delaying a problem does not evade by rather makes it all the more troublesome!

I absolutely hate the way she uses Ansh as leverage over Aarti because she knows that he's the trump card that will make Aarti give in to her! And it's really sad that Aarti keeps on listening to her because he still does not fully trust her own abilities to make the right decision! Prashant's betrayal and then her being a single mother has permanently etched it in her psyche that she is not good enough and that's the reason why is willing to hold other people's advice, suggestions, and opinions above what her heart and mind is telling her!

But now coming to my favorite part of your write up...Yash-Aarti, Aarti-Yash...god there isn't enough that we can see about them, both as individuals and as a couple, because there are so many layers to every aspect of them! I loved the way you delved into Yash's psyche and explained why he felt the need to get into that boxing ring and have someone beat him up! He really has some deep seeded issues and he needs someone to save him from himself. He is too harsh on himself and I think that's because even though he puts up the facade of an in control person, he knows how much of an emotional mess he is on the inside. These two sides of him smother him when they come head to head with each other and does a number on his self worth! And this is where Aarti is going to come and tell him that there is nothing wrong with letting someone in his pain because it's only when he'll be able to convey everything that has been torturing him to Aarti that she will be able to heal him completely! And it's very critical for Yash to be completely healed before Aarti's divorce truth comes out in the family because at that time he is going to have to be her emotional crutch! Aarti has been picking up the pieces of Yash's life so far and at that time it will be Yash's turn.

...and now he seeks pain because it distracts him from Aarti. He associates her with everything but pain, and so where there is overwhelming pain, there is no Aarti.

Gosh Samana, that is such a beautiful, beautiful thought! I had to read this sentence three times because it just spoke to me! It is so, so true that after the Mumbai trip he can associate every emotion except for pain and anger with Aarti. She gave him so much happiness, peace and love in those few days that they were away from the real world that he forgot about the world of pain that he has self imprisoned himself in and learned how to live again! She became the beacon of light in his life that guided him back to shore and he couldn't bear the idea of her not being there with him. I was just watching the Jai Jai Shiv Shankar dance again and it left me awestruck just how possessive he was of Aarti during the whole thing! He wouldn't let her go 5 feet away from him and shielded her from everyone else (when the fat guy on whose stomach he was doing the dhol tried to get close to Aarti, he had to resort to physically pushing him away from her). And then whenever she would make to move away from him, he chased after her and captured her in his embrace never wanting to let go! It was the same later that night when Aarti tried to move away from him twice on the balcony and both times he caught her before she could two steps. He was no longer willing to entertain the idea of her not being in his life because both his heart and mind had accepted her as his. In that drunken state he wanted to tell her something about them but backed out at the last second because he didn't know how to say it. We have always said that he is a man of action and not words, and that character consistency was maintained once again because what he wasn't able to tell her in words, he was able to show through his actions!

Anyways getting back to what you wrote, Yash now knows that the most effective way of punishing himself is to push Aarti away from him, the same Aarti who had become his lifeline in the past couple days, the Aarti with whom he had spent so many beautiful moments that constantly keep flashing before his eyes. He can only give himself pain if she is no longer in front of him because her absence is the very source of his pain! So even if he is in denial of his feelings, his subconscious has registered her meaning in his life and that's why he can't scape her. The harder he punched the punching bag today, the stronger the memories of that beautiful night with her flashed before him. He wants to escape from it all but he can't because he is given his whole self to Aarti without even realizing it! And the connection that he has forged with her in just a couple of days is so much stronger than the memories of Arpita that he has been holding on to for 4 years because now they are no where in sight while Aarti is everywhere despite not being physically present! So if this somehow becomes connected to Arpita on Monday I will be disappointed because it's obvious that this has nothing to do with her at all! Yash might throw Arpita's name as a defensive mechanism, but that flimsy wall will crumble as soon as he finds out about Aarti's pregnancy!

And obviously what was meant to be a short response got really out of hand, but your words and my thoughts were so much on the same wavelength that I couldn't help myself!

Jyo and Samana nice takes! Yash seriously has issues! I think it has a lot to due with his self esteem that he can not accept that he was weak hearted enough to fall in love again. More than betrayal I think his self-esteem He doesn't like Aarti that make him weak enough to forget his loyalty to Arpita. He broke Arpita's picture because he knows he can't hide behind them anymore. I have been mad at him for the past few weeks thinking he has been acting like a douche and needs to man up and accept responsibility for what he did but now I see how big of a mess he actually is. His self esteem problems were hinted at the beggining they way he would get uncomfortable when Aarti laughed at him for buying Ansh a girly gift or the need to have everything perfect but now they show more than ever.

Up and at 'em...It's laundry day 🤢...Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening wherever you are in the World, I hope you're having a great one 😊

@Samana: Shobha though i understand where she is coming from...She has to learn to listen to aarti and let her make her own decisions regarding her relationship w/ Yash...Shobha even though she doesn't agree with Aarti's methods she should let support her but stop trying to dominate her life and that was really a low blow she gave Aarti today using her past 😡

Vidhi the one that doesn't like conflicts couldn't and wouldn't let Paridhi put her down, she made the latter realize that even though she is wanna be a modern working woman she should know how to handle the household 👏

Wow...take a bow Dearie, you've left me spellbound the way you describe Yash characterization and symbolism of the empty boxing bag 👏👏👏 well we can honestly say that Arpita no longer resides in him heart nor mind...Everything is Aarti and it the end she's the one that's gonna pull him out of the darkness he is in now.

Like Aarti said what they did that night was out of LOVE and so is creating their baby...they both are in love both but unlike Aarti, Yash is in denial...I wonder if he thinks that he pushes her into doing something she didn't want to...Cause he was observing her every move that night and thank you very much for that beautiful interpretation of the hand kiss and the hand holding 😃

But from the look in her eyes at the end of the epy she's gonna give him a really check.

Magnificent analysis 👏👏👍🏼

@Veena: Aww sorry you had technical problems 😔 Yup the articles always make things sound worst than they are 😡...I'm happy he didn't find out abt the baby before getting into that cause i think it would have shattered Aarti...ooh KS & GC were remarkable...ITA GC/Yash was engulfed in her beauty he couldn't take his eyes off of her 😳😳

I did not feel much like writing today because for me the episode was kinda perfect in it's entirety. I'm not going to talk much about the end of consummation. Because there is no denying it that it did not happen as Arti is pregnant. It's just Arti who needs confirmation and now she needs to go confront Yash and tell him...Okay that's just the introduction!

I hope you will understand my randomnes and make head or tail out of this take. If you don't like it I'm ready to delete it😆

Did Shobha make a healthy choice?

Why does Arti have to live according to Shobha's worldview of things? Is it the only choice there is to make? I thought she was trying to stop Arti from going out on the road because it was a bit late in the night. I found out that I was wrong she was worried that Yash might do the same thing as Prashant or worse abdicate on his fatherly duty! Is it not a husband's duty that should be questioned? For that matter I really could not understand what her gripe was about. I just wanted Arti to shut her up but alas it went the other way! If Shobha is living vicariously through her adopted daughter she go another think coming her way. She likes to expound on the staus quo and trying to find what constitutes happiness as!

Did Vidhi make a healthy choice?

Why should she be the one to cook for everyone? If some people are not liking the way she cooks then they should come to the kitchen and cook it for themselves or better yet order from the outside while you are at work. I did like the way she stood up for herself while she was on the mini confrontation with Paridhi. Now Paridhi is eating wild berries and getting out in the wild. I hope Prateek finds time to correct this before she goes and completely disappear into the jungle!

Did Arti make a healthy choice?

I n my humble opinion she tried to make the healthy choice by trying to ferret out, confront and tell Yash that what happened, happened! I don't have much to say on this as I'm 100% behind Arti. You go girl! Tell him like it is. Tell him that what stupid ideas he has of what is a lie and what is a mirage! What constitutes happiness and betrayal as! Why does she have to go through insult and abuse! At one point I thought she was going to utter, Stop for the sake of our child! Blame it on me for reading more into it! I thought she was one determined woman who seems to be running out of time! Well her time to shine and confront Yash is coming up sooner than later. I just want her to say her piece and then be done with it irregardless of the consequences. Time she needs to eat some meat because then it would be more of a healthy choice, I feel!

Did Yash make a healthy choice?

Getting yourself turned into mince meat for the consumption of your own guilt is the way to go it seems. Cannabalism is not very nice and I found it disheartening! What the what? Yash is in love and going stir crazy in his mind and body it seems. If there is a way to find a way not to be in the body of Yash I think he would have tried that for the time being. That is without getting himself killed. Time Yash needed to eat some vegetarian food I think! I don't think he made the correct choice by not waiting to listen to Arti. You can't just eat honey and decide that you did not like it because I'd like to know if Yash is allergic to honey. All I 'm saying is he should not run around trying to injure himself just because he is not happy with the situation he is in right now. Oh why can't people find words to express!

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called. ~A.A. Milne

By now I hope you are not turned off by my randomness and what all I'm ranting about I 'm going to stop! I'll just say this in short Arti is very determined now to talk to Yash. More than yesterday. So I hope Yash is ready to find it in his heart to listen that he has yet again going to become a father to the wife who is alive and talking to him infront of him!
