best and worst coreographer of this season

as we all know this season of jhalak is about to end... so in my opinion best coreographers of this season are jai kumar and puneet

Best choreographer - I don't have much preference to anyone specific cuz the best choreographer changes for me from weekend to weekend.

Salman - I like Salman's concepts and execution, he does justice to his whole idea. After his accident, they sorta went down the curve. Oh well, up until then he did bring different views on the stage. I loved his 1st act-the romantic one, paso doble, puppet act, horror act, aerial, Rajesh Khanna contemporary, Solstorm, even the beauty and beast concept. All these have something different to offer. Amazing work by him

Shampa - Her concepts are pretty good as well, but she loses the edge when it comes to execution. I loved the bura bhala, peacock, robotic, Dracula act. Very good concepts and choreography. I enjoyed these ones.

Deepak - This guy is talented. He comes up with different and good concepts as well. I loved his teesri manzil act, Eklavya (these are with pratyashu), alien act, cinderella twist, aerial act. He has some good concepts, but sometime execution and/or choreography doesn't do justice to the act.

Sneha - I think she has a good sense of choreography, but so far in terms of concepts, I haven't been as impressed. I liked her aerial and the MJ act.

Edit: Forgot to include Punit - He had some great concepts as well, and just like Salman, he had a good companion on the stage to do full justice to his ideas.

Worst has to be Mohena and may be Sanam.

Best would be Deepak hands down. Puneet is a close second though. I liked Salman initially but he hasn't done much with Isha...so the other two deserve it more.

worst...sanam...mohena is lot better compared to him 🤣

Best: Puneet (the variety) and Salman (the overall designing of concepts)

These are my Opinions

Best for Choreography (as in setting the mood, song selection, dance form/steps, stage and prop use etc):

- Deepak

- Salman

- Punit

Best for Dance steps only:

- Jai as he has shown consistently that he gives different steps to his celeb and that the performances worked too. I could have included Punit here or Deepak but some of their acts has left much to be desired in terms of dance steps (e.g. fusion week performances' dance steps)

Average (some performances are excellent some are not):

- Shampa - some good performances like the robotic act, the rumba act but she hasn't yet managed to 'hide' Gurmeet's stiffness in some acts - it suited the robotic act but say zouk performance not so much. Also concepts wise - she sometimes shows amazing creativity but sometimes it's mediocre choreographies

- Sneha - the salsa act was good, MJ and classical was exceptional but the contemporary - there were some issues in execution of lifts and such

Weakest:

- Mohena - she uses Karan's 'hero-quality' too much. Other choreos are taking advantage of their celebs strengths too but somehow in Mohena's choreo the 'hero' thing overshadows other things in the act. Also, sometimes the execution is wrong or coordination issues and such but she has given some good acts like Contemporary romantic/passionate performance

- Nishant (his choreographed performances lacked that x-factor which leave an impression on you like Salman-Isha's Horror act (stage lighting, costumes, lenses etc is what made that performance great) or Rashmi-Deepak's Afro Jazz act (the song selection, constumes, dance steps etc - everything was perfect).

- Salman because he hasn't yet choreographed a performance which is on a different pace than all the other acts of Isha. Like with Yana's performances (yes, I have very recently managed to watch a few performances from previous JDJ seasons and some DID videos too) there was a variety in terms of the pacing of the performances (not the dance forms) but with Isha it's all on the same temp - their graph so far has been a straight line with slight upward deviation in Week 9 (afro & chau) act but that too very slightly

- Jai as his choreographed performances sometimes lacked coordination between Dasheel & Avneet (as a choreo it's his job to ensure the coordination is perfect) and sometimes he didn't use props as well as he should have (e.g. the magic ball act - it was a very confusing performance for me)

Best :

Salman. His dance is always good.. Love his dance from DID days.. Coming to his choreography, apart from the dance, i love the way he presents the act. No one else concentrates so much on costumes and make up etc.. As Kjo said, Salman can be a good director. His concepts were always different. I would call him a "Perfectionist".

Sneha, Deepak, Punit and Shampa are also good.

Best - Punit and Deepak in choreography. Salman in concepts.

Worst is Mohena and Sanam
