I've seen posts on the forum saying that the show to a large extent is very similar to Castle. Yeah, it is... But, I don't really mind. I've never really followed Castle, so it's okay. I'm sure there lots of people who haven't watched watched it either, so it's going to be exciting to watch. However, the show has it's own original characteristics.
The way the team has been formed is one thing that should be noticed. Sameer Rathore, the leader of ETF has a very 'protocol' way of solving cases, which often makes him miss out on things that he must have noticed. In the first episode, Rathore arrives at the place where Sheen was held captive, a little late. However, he does arrive at the place. Also when Arjun accuses Zainab, Mukesh's wife, Rathore clearly explains to Arjun why she isn't the culprit. This shows that Rathore is the head of ETF for no reason.
Arjun Suryakanth Rawte (Oh, I love this name for some reason!😳) on the other hand is an absolute surprise to everybody. Like he says.. "Jab log barikiyon mein ulajh ke reh jate hain, main bilkul mudde pe ata hoon..." translated as, "When people get tangled in minute details, i concentrate on the main point.." That's how he is.He takes everything in front of him into consideration. He observes and analyses everything he sees. When he saw the autopsy report about the angle of penetration of the knife in the "Double Murder" case, he didn't just see it. He analysed and registered the fact that the two people must be almost the same height for the knife to penetrate at that angle. That shows his level of concentration, skill of analysis and intelligence.
ETF requires both Arjun and Rathore. Arjun might possess an excellent skill in solving cases but, Rathore is a responsible leader.
Ria Mukherjee, the research specialist. This describes what she is. Loads of paperwork, something she doesn't want to return to, has given her all the theoritical knowledge, but her experience in the field: NIL. She joins ETF the same day, Arjun was assigned Sheen's case. So, Ria being shown as an inexperienced, apprehensive cop is very much logical. She is learning, and will keep learning from Arjun. We've seen them working together in almost every episode. Over the last two episodes, they seem to be getting more comfortable with each other, professionally. Arjun has stopped being insolent towards her. He scolds her, but only to warn her and in a way to teach her. The smile that appeared on his face when Ria said she wanted to become like him, was an indication of that very fact. He knows it will take a lot of time for Ria to learn, but Ria is a go getter and that's evident. If she could make it into the ETF team, she would nail that too. Maybe, the relation that will develop between them first will be that of a student and a teacher. That would be wonderful to watch.
Arjun and Riya's romantic relationship is going to take a really long time to build, because of obvious reasons. However, the little tit bits of their interactions we get to are amazing enough. They do share an awesome chemistry that is yet to be seen
Shree and Chotu: Shree is a techinal expert of the team and Chotu is a commando. Shree however is sharp too.. he also seems to notice things and take a careful note. This is because of the fact that he has been on the team for a while now. Chotu is the muscle power the team requires.
I know this is a little late for analysis and a lot of people have already done it. I'm here for the first time today, so I thought why not give it a try? And about the TRPs, this is a new show right? So it will definitely take time to garner more and more TRPs. So why worry about that? It has already become so popular in such a short time, isn't that something to be happy about? I don't really care about the TRPs and never will...
THANK YOU for going through my post... and do leave comments!
