First of all i would like to dedicate this one to my beloved teacher as i got this thought on Teachers Day.😉
Needless to say am inspired by Minaxi. Ok without further blabberings Lemme jump into the matter.
This is a real life incident of the devotees specifically known as NAYANANMARS who got the Darshan of MAHADEV.
Here am gonna tell about one such NAYANMAR called Yenadhi Nada Nayanar.
PROLOGUE
Yenadhi is not a real name and its given to a troop members who worked under ancient kings.
Yenadhi was born in YEINANUR which was ruled by Chola kings[currently near Tanjore]
Yenadhi being referred so due to his excellence in War tactics like sword fights, archery etc.
The YEINANUR is located six KMs away from South-East Kumbakkonam at present.
SIGNIFICANCE OF YENADHI NADAR
Yenadhi Nadharwas an expertise in War tactics. Hece, he was appointed to give War practises to the troops of Chola Dynasty. Also he was the head of it. Though by his postion he earned money, he was making to feel others happy by it via philanthoripic activities. He donated most of his wealth to seva of Lord Shiva.He considered those with holy mark of lord shiva on their forehead as God's messenger. He wont do harm even unknowingly to them though he was on an high position he was ver simple in terms of behaviour to all. He was a well known personality in CHOLA KINGDOM. He was even known to the enemies of Chola dynasty.
Here comes our Antagonist
In the same Chola dynasty there lived a person named Adhi Suran. He was also a renowned person on War tactics. He was proud of his own abilites and hencefoth aimed to be the Cheif of the King. But it went to YENADHI NADHAR. So as a result Adhi Suran devoleped a hatredness towards Yenadhi Nadar. He made a cruel plan against him.
ADHISURAN's EVIL PLAN
Due to the inherent Jealousy devoleped Adisuran asked for the ideas to his relatives. They too supported him by saying that "U need to fight with him and coach the king's senate"; He too decided to fight against Yenadhi Nadhar and to win the title Yenadhi.
So he shouted near Yenadhi nadar residence "Hey one needs to defeat me to show the skill. Just because of holding the postion on the King's palace u wont be a great men" This indeed was dwelled by ahankar and Yenadhi Nadar found it and agreed for the war.
Hearing the shout YN decided to come and at that time he was teaching in a cave like this
He thought without war i wont be considered and he marched to do so. He marched off by wearing an ornament in leg to indicate and he was followed by his relatives for the war.
THE WAR
As the Adi suran voluntarily invited for war yenadhi nadar marched with his own prejudice.
Adhi suran yelled "those who win here should coach the king's troop " to which evantually Yenadhi nadar agreed.
All the men were ready for war. Arrows was attacking ruthlessly and many lossed thier life miserably
"They needed that for the sake of Adi suran's ego isint this cruel thought Yenadhi nadar
He thought that this guy needs a lesson and so he himself finally fought with him.He finally decided to participate in the war by himself. He fought with a red-hot anger and the wrath of it was so heavy and he fought at a speed of the storm, he was not visible to the enemies. He cutted the head,toe of soldiers with a great velocity. Seeing this Adhi suran and his men fled as early as possible. Yenadhi Nadar slowly calmed down and happy as he made enemy to run.
DISPLEASED ADHISURAN
Still the Adisuran was not satisfied and all he needed was the position and the desire to earn money was more on him.
He sent a messenger to him as to come to battlefield all alone and evantually YN agreed.
He decided to win Yenadhi nadar not by his talent but by an evil and brutal plan.He very well knew that Yenadhi Nadar wont harm those with sacred mark of lord Shiva on forehead as he considers them equivalent to saints. So he decided to apply it and go to Battle field.
Morning breeze flew and it was challenging indeed. YN was roaring and awaiting for the AS. He covered his forehead cunningly. As Yenadhi was fuming in anger he surely knew he wont be alive. While Yenadhi Nadar was holding his shield and sword to attack him he removed his hand from forehead.
Yenadhi Nadar was so shocked to see it and that too for 1st time in AS forehead.
He thought "Oh am about to make a blunder and a greatest sin that i cant even think in dream. I must put my weapons on ground so that AS should not get any sin for the sake of mine"
This indeed was his greatest weakness and made use by AS to maximum. He was brutally slaughtered by him. The blood strains of Greatest men on earth was mingled on ground. He finally got a great deed for his noble thought.
MAHADEV DARSHAN
As Yenadhi thought those with sacred ash mark on head should not died.He was blessed by Lord Darshan.
After YN fell on earth Mahdev taken him into his feet just like Mirabai by Krishna
