On a serious note I knew this girl back east in 70s whose brother or BF one of the two threw acid on her face...Her face was so much burned and needed numerous plastic suregeries to look somewhat normal...This is a serious offense and if Dayal as a head of the household thinks like this dunno what type of role model is he for rest..

Yes, it is indeed a shame that the show is promoting hiding a criminal activity for what samaaj will say (samaaj being Rachna's MIL). As if they cannot say to Rachna's MIL that a gunda was harassing them. They don't even have to go to the internet friendship story because the pictures are already destroyed and Rachna has nothing to fear.

Honestly I think this whole Rachna engagement with an invisible dulha and the in-laws dictating terms as if she is already a bahu makes no sense (I am sure even Flintstones were more modern than Dayal household)

You have raised some great points...Why Dayal let Mintoo off so easily and not allow anyone to report acid incident to police...Thank god somehow police did get involved and arrested him...Thanks to Mayank for that.. MCP Adarshwadi Dayal has something hidden in his closet too which will come out in future.

girls i think most of the people commenting r either living in metros or abroad ...where the situation for girls is quiet safe or i can say as good as a boy ...but if u go to interiors of india esp in northern states and even in delhi ...eve teasing is very common girls r looked down upon and they r showing benares which is in UP and boasts of bie educational instituitons but ground realities u cant change if u open any regional papers u will read acid throwing incidents very often ...i think this yr oscar for a documentary was won by a pakistan documentary maker and it was on all the victims of acid burns ...so they r trying to be realstic ... people learn to live according the situation ..they try to compromise with the situation ...ideology is forgotten very soon ...where law and order situation is bad ...politocs is power ...i am not supporting dayal but he has to live in society and with the same people so the first reaction is always going tobe prtective i think as serial he will also become brave and start supporting the girls
